I need some help with this dog!

Hi everyone! Ok, we bought a puppy pitbull and I am wondering, how long will it be before it is trained to go outside rather than my kitchen floor or living room rug? Also, what is the best way to train this dog? Im having a heck of a time and I am tired of cleaning up pee! (and poop)!
