A few days ago my internet speed was approximately 10 mb ( megabit not megabyte) down and 1.5 mb up. Now it's approximately 32 mb down and 3 mbps up... lol! It's because my ISP has changed the internet speed. Now I have fiber internet I think... :) I pay approximately 30 euros ( I think approx 40 dollars) http://www.speedtest.net/result/506148338.png And you? Are you happy with the speed? How much does it cost for you? Please try to convert your monthly fee into dollars.

10 dollars for 2 mbps is a pretty good deal man. It's important that you have access to a decent helpdesk though in case of problems, is that all set up well at your isp?

Yeah that's a tad too high. But we should consider that in some countries internet is just very expensive due to bad infrastructure. Although things are improving drastically in some countries internet just remains expensive for a while.

I have a slow connections compared to others. It shows 230 kbps only. If I download anything then it downloads at a speed of just 5-7 kbps. I pay about $5 per month with no data limit.

I would absolutely classify that as overpaid, at least it would in my country. Are you satisfied with it?

That's a fairly good speed. I am curious how much money you pay for your connection though.

Internet speed is depend on the Internet Service Providers. I apply for a speed of 512 kbps but if you look about the speed is not that fast. It seems like 128 kbps upstream and 50 kbps downstream...It's is disappointed that ISP not doing good to their customers...

As far as I know. If I am not mistaken, 8 bit is equivalent to a byte or octet. in the speed of connection of Internet is not the actual speed that you are applying from the Internet service providers. If for Example: You apply 1.544 Mbps (Megabit per seconds) 1.544 Mbps is your downstream and 384 kpbs is your downstream and we denote that 128 to 384 is your average speed of connections...This where the ISP work on our Internet speed connection. This is a protocol

ISPs have the tendency to use all sorts of words people don't understand correctly. For example there is MegaByte and MegaBit. When they say you get 30 MB for instance they mean MegaBit which is approx 4.3 MegaByte. I was confused at first as well but considering everyone has had that problem, it's understandable.

Considering that the exchange rate now is $1= 46.99 For the first 6 months my monthly fee is 1,210php ($25.75) and after the 6th month my monthly fee is 990php ($21.07). Reduce now because I already paid the amount of the modem which 220php per month x 6 month. Oh I forgot to tell, The 7th month is free because we applied for the connection when there's a promo. A Christmas promo last December. My DSL plan is only 384kbps but it only speed 264mbps. We are planning to upgrade our connection to 512mbps and they have additional cost of 330php ($7.03) per month.

It's an acceptable speed but converted to Euros and considering the amount of money you pay here for 1.5 mb, you'd be robbed. But I guess it's a fine price for your country's/state's standard.

I have a connection speed of up to 768Kbps and I am paying (18.60 dollars forex rate= 1usd= 48.33 philippine pesos). I am somehow happy with the speed since the first time I signed up for this service, the max speed is only up to 384Kbps and after a year the service provider upgraded the limit of that plan to 768Kbps to be at par with other competitors here in the Philippines.

It's good to see the internet connections go up after a while. I had that to a few times. But now my ISP provider have switched me from a 10 mbps to 30 mbps connection for free. The funny thing is from the first of July it's prohibited to have your contract automatically extended for a year and unsubscribing can be done within a month. So the service, prices and speed are likely to sky rocket again someday. I hope the same goes for all the other countries, up with the speed!!!

I get about 400 kb down and don't know about my up speed... Not sure. I try to minimize uploading so that I can download a lot more ;) Yes, I have a restriction of 20 Gb/month

Up speed is mostly lower than your down speed. I just don't understand why those Belgian ISPs restrict the amount of data and ask ridiculous prices for speeds that were common 8 years ago or something. It's a big shame.

Hey, Well our Internet Speed is only about 20MBps, but I think that it is quite adequate for us, since we do not really use the Internet for much other than typing and surfing. Also, we pay about $99 per month combined with free international calls. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

My internet speed is not high as compared to you but sill it is satisfactory because it is the best in the whole service providers. I get around 256Kbps where down is 216Kbps and up is 40Kbps. It is the best service provider in my state and i pay around 12$ for it every month. I am satisfied with it's surfing speed but not happy with it's download speed. But it is the best in my state so i have to go with it, anything else i can't do.

When that's the highest speed you can't do much than accept that. I hope the speed will be improved for you soon. As for the surfing speed, as long as your connection is stable surfing will go at an acceptable speed regardless of the speed.

For 100 bucks you should get at least 120 mbps, I believe. What is the speed you're supposed to have and what is the speed you get?
