The first movie I can remember watching when I was a child is rather surprisingly The Great Escape which I remember was on TV and it has remained on of my favourite movies of all time. Strangely I don’t have many memories of watching movies aimed at children.
What are your earliest recollections of watching movies?

It's not really surprising that you recall the Great Escape as along with Sparticus it seemed to be on TV every bank holiday ever. I still love the Great Escape and got the DVD so my son could watch it too. And of course which English child was not brought up on the Carry on Films which I loved at the time but don't appeal now.

the first movie that i have watched as a kid and the one i cant forget is the disney movie of mickey mouse and the gang.
its many stories in one movie, there was their version of jack and the beanstalk, i cant forget that, and i have bought a video of it for my kids. and also that one in the trailer i love it the most. sometimes i watch it again with my kids i dont get bored watching it all over and it brings back memories of my childhood.

I still have a clear memory with the movie "Warriors of Virtue".
Do you know the movie?
Anyway, it's about a boy who disappeared into another world where he met five warriors of Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, Metal.
It was the first movie I watched with my sister, we were both kids that time and we just sort of went to the movies on our own.
I think I was 9 at the time. LOL
