Balcony tomatoes. The right plant in the right place.

Balcony tomato plants. - Special tomato plants for balcony or limited space cultivation. Very compact and heavy producers over a long time. Also excellent flavour.

The special small bush tomatoes I have on my balcony are now producing 1 or 2 fruits per day per plant. Attached is a picture of 4 of the 13 plants that I have. They are ideal for limited space cultivation and produce a lot of good tasting fruits over a long time. It pays off to get the best type of plant for the space and conditions available. I have also 11 plants of special mini peppers and 4 mini cucumbers which are not yet producing but looking good. Hope to post pictures of them later. What kind of plants do you grow which are suitable for special conditions?

They sale teh paddle catus in the stores here. But the NAtive americans dont eat them as they call them the heart of the catus. but the mexicans do eat but I dont know how to fix it. Other than that some of the big cactus as the ones that look like the arms are up in the air. you can cut a plug out of it for water replacement as alot use too wehn caught in the desert to survive in the olden days

Hi Lakota, I used to grow cactus when I had a greenhouse. They produced lovely flowers but I don't if there are any edible ones. Thanks for responding. Col.

Your plants look excellent. Last year we started ours from a seed and we had one plant that just over produced. The thing turned into a monster, but needless to say we had plenty to share with the family, and neighbors. This year we bought a plant already started but it was only about 4 inches tall when we got it. It seems to be doing ok, but not growing quite as fast as last years monster. We also planted some red and yellow peppers, corn, and acorn squash. Good luck with the mini peppers and cucumbers, I'll be back to look at the pics when you get them. :)

Hi olydove, I grow most of my things from seeds but usually buy plants for my tomatoes. For my garden I just buy two plants and when the side shoots are about 6 inches long I nip them out and stick them in the ground. They quickly root and produce in a very short time.
