I don't like to exercise, I don't like to sweat so while i was under Doctor's care I didn't, except Yoga, to day i started back on the tread mill, 10 mins was all I could do, that is a long way from the 45 mins, which is my goal, any suggestions on how to make more fun?

Hi savypat! I know what you mean about exercise not being fun. It helps to listen to music or watch TV. If you have a friend that will do it with you it makes it better too. Good luck.

hmmm cant you not do it together with a friend or anyone close to you in that way you could talk while doing tread mill and 45 mins would just be a short time if you have someone with you.... I too dont want to do that but I guess our body really need it

If you don't like to exercise then you walk an hour in the morning or evening. It's better than running on the tread mill.In any way you can't avoid sweating.

Hello Pat! Exercising can be real fun but you need to put in the hard work for the initial week. I myself started jogging reluctantly but now I am at a stage when I cannot imagine a day without exercising and jogging. Once you see it as a challenge and are determined enough to overcome it, you will get through the initial week and after that it will be an indispensable part of your life. All the best, Cheers!

Hi Pat...I always make sure the treadmill is facing a window. It gives me the illusion that I am actually "going somewhere." I only use it during bad weather days or in the winter time. But I prefer walking outdoors when possible. Some people use a special prop attachment so that they can read a book or magazine while on the treadmill. Best wishes! Karen

Yes, the treadmill is boring. I have one in my basement and cannot bring myself to go down there anymore because even with music, it is SO boring. So these days I go to the gym instead, and use the eliptical, which is a lot easier on my knees and, for me, is a much better workout. Plus when you are in a public place it gives you more to look at...they have tvs on with subtitles, music playing, and there are people moving in and out...I love people watching! Lol! Hope that helps! :-)

No matter how many times I tell myself to put exercise in my daily routine it never materialize. I can never have the strong determination to get seriously involve in exercise. Exercise is not like food where we need to eat when hungry. Exercise can be put aside as it doesn't have any difference with or without having to exercise not until something happen to our health. I was advised by my doctor to start exercising as I have a sedentary life. Walking is the best form of exercise as it is something that is not very tedious and is done while enjoying the scenery. In fact I have started walking in the evenings but when the weather started to change it halted my efforts for a while and have not gone back to walking again. Walking is one of the most desirable physical activities for people of all ages.

I actually enjoy excersise and regularly change my routine to make it not get boring and old. I vary goign to the gym at our apartments, playing tennis and even using my Wii fit. I think if I just went to the gym and didnt vary it that it would become old and routine. So, I am always looking for new ways to change it up to keep it new and fun.

I haven't done my treadmill since the winter. I really can't stand it. The only way I can do it is by watching TV while on it. About 20 minutes is the most I can put up with on the treadmill.

Hmm, the reason I don't like exercise is about cleaning my cloth because I have to wash using my hand. How about why you need to exercise, find the motivation why you need it and it might encourage you to do more. Good luck.

I'm not a fan of exersise either. When I did the treadmill, I always did it at a gym with a friend so that we could talk while we were working out. Some people are able to read while they are on the treadmill...

Only I don't like to exercise during the weather is so hot. When I played basketball when it is hot I'm so good in playing but I'm so exhausted and my stamina goes down then i breath so deep to endure the game. Through the power of adrenalin in my body and inspiration. Plus determination to win. We won but I'm so tired in the bench after the game.

Exercise is really no fun to do but we need it. Here are some suggestions for you to have some exercise without noticing it. If you have a console like nintendo wii, try playing some sport games with it. Or if you don't have one join some real sports. Play games that involve physical strength with your family, friends or pets. Think of a place you want to go which is a 45mins run from your house try going there without a ride. I hope i these helps.

First, the most important is that you should adjust your attitude. You are suppose to take exercise as a healthy habit rather than a task.If you do so,you will find that it's easier to accept it because you have interest in exercises. Then, you can call some your best friends or families to participate in.With their company, you feel that you are not a lonely one to fight! In addition, some light music or blues can reduce your fatigue effectively.

If I watch t.v. while I'm doing it, it tends to go by faster. Or if I count in my head then my mind kinda starts to wander a bit and I end up losing track of time as well. Good Luck!
