Okay, I purchase a household item from Lowe's. I had my daughter return it to Lowe's thinking they would give a refund or credit my debit card. Well, she said the clerk said I use it as a credit transactions so they will credit my account. Okay fine, why I check my bank account and no record of transaction. I called Lowe's there response it can take up to 5 days. I have return merchandise to other stores, and I receive a refund within 24 hours. I guess I am going to have to use their competitor next time. Don't you think Lowe's should release funds within 24 hours? They debit my account within 24 hours when I purchase so why the delay?

I think it depends on the process of paper pushing and since it was your daughter & not you that you did not get credit immediatly. I hope you have finally been credited your money, if not I would make sure you have your refund slip and keep that until your account has been credited.

I check within 48 hours, and the money was there. Lowe's said it was there policy to take up to 5 days. I am going to be really careful in the future when I shop there.
