- XXXX - Did you have a favourite flag you liked at Glastonbury?

I put my flag on expenses.... - One of the flags the audience is holding while listening to music at Glastonbury Festival.

While listening to the music, it is entertaining to look around at the various flags and other objects that people put on poles, to hold as they're watching the different bands. The flag pictured below seems very topical. Also saw people with slogans hand-written onto their t-shirts such as "I flipped my other tent on expenses" Another flag I liked was a multi-coloured Union Jack (national flag of Great Britain/ UK). The colours were very tropical looking, like lime green, orange, yellow etc, which looked brighter than the normal red, white and blue. People will also bring along a flag supporting the music act they are watching. Saw many of those when watching The Special, with their signature white and black chequer design. So, over to you good people - what was your favourite flag?

You're right, Glasto is very eclectic. But there-in lies it's beauty. You can choose from a huge choice, walk around, change your mind and listen to something else not planned on. Use the little guide, hanging round one's neck and replan. From all the comments about Neil Young, I wished that I had gone to see him. But that is the way things go. And found flags and the fire-point pole very useful to navigate to my tent, which being quite small was fairly tricky to find at times!

I thought the display of flags was great as well. I loved seeing the Devon and Cornwall flags, as that is where my husband and I originate from, although we now spend most of our time in Spain. I loved the 'Veterans Set' yesterday - especially Tom Jones. Hard to believe he's nearly 70, isn't it?

Yes, I really enjoyed seeing all the "Kernow" and Devon flags - especially as I was born down this way! There were even a few "Zummerset" flags too... The first Glasto fest I have attended has certainly been an experience, with an ever-ending choice of good music - from a Canadian punk band named "F*cked up" to Rolf Harris. It's not called the "Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts" for nothing! I liked the fact that there was a good range of ages in attendance. In the dance village for example you could almost imagine you were in Ibiza. Thanks for your response, Sandra.
