Does anyone else think this is ridiculous? I think that's way, way, way, way, WAY too much for this woman be left with!! Who needs 2.5 million dollars to survive? I think she should have to turn every bit of that over except what's absolutely necessary for her to live on. And, I don't mean in a mansion either. Someone needs to step in and give her a reality shot. She should be in an apartment somewhere with a strict budget...and someone that makes her account for every penny she spends. This might give her some idea of what exactly all their victims might be going through. I think the 2.5 million is an insult to the victims of the Madoffs. How about you? What do you think? Penthouse or "Projects" for her?

I totally agree with you and she should be in the projects. How she sleeps at night knowing that there are people trying to survive on foodstamps because of what her husband did. Why can't they give that money to the people who were scammed. Divide it up somehow. Yes she gets what she needs to live on and thats it.

She was not involved with the scams, and even the prosecutors stated that she should not be penalized. 2.5 Million dollars is really not that much, especially considering the fact that she will need to live on it for the rest of her life. Most people think she should go get a job...would you hire her? She will always be known as the crook's wife! She will be ridiculed for the rest of her life, and trust me - she will be punished many times over!
