I was watching Wife Swap or something to that effect the other day and I saw two different families that lived frugally. I thought hmm...I wish I knew some of those trick that they did to save some money.
Now the one family was a bit too frugal for me to the point that the family all used the same bath water and never flushed the toilet after going...that is a little too far for me but I did like how the other family entered into sweepstakes and used coupons for everything...their basement was filled with extras that they had gotten by entering into the sweepstakes or signing up for freebies...and I was just wondering do you live a frugal life and if you do what things do you do?
Do you know of any sites for entering sweepstakes or freebies?

We use coupons and watch the deals. When things are a good price we buy a bunch and stock up. I make my own laundry detergent and try to find new ways to save money. I need to save all I can get.

Shopping sales, using coupons and doing it ourselves when possible are some of the ways we save. I get freebies online and do enter sweepstakes, but with sweepstakes you never know if you will get anything or not. I have won some things in sweepstakes though. You can find some sweeps just by checking manafacture's websites, like www.kraftfoods.com. There are also websites that list sweeps to enter. I like this one http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/ Hope this helps and good luck

I havent really gotten into the entering sweepstakes thing so far - I'm never sure how legit it really is or if im going to end up with spam. Sometime when i have time though i intend to find a Canadian sweepstakes site and start entering for things - and create an email address just for that.
Frugal things i do are : reuse things, fix it myself or do it myself rather than hiring someone else to do it, coupons combined with sales, freebies, gardening and farmers markets, line drying clothing.
I try to be frugal but because i want to be able to travel or just be able to afford to fix things that need it when it needs it.
