At the start of the Aquino reign of presidency till the current president of the Philippines, a lot has said that they have been stealing money, using money for other things, and other issues. I couldn't even count how many issues has been said and all. Some of these issues are true due to evidence, but some said it is true, yet there is no evidence that the president did this or that. Do you admit, sometimes, you blame the President or the administration because of this and that? Which I sometimes think, is there such evidence exist. Aside the ones we see, there are other issues that which we only know because of rumors, yet we make it a big thing as if it really happens. Yes, there was once an issue in budgets. Who did we blame first? The president and the administration. But, come to think about it, what if they were not behind it. What if someone an ordinary person is stealing money from the country itself. This is just a what if. When someone sits on the President seat, an issue has been said or made already. Even before the president seats on his/her chair, rumors have been spreading that there was cheating involve in the voting. Yet, there is no proof. Yet, some say there is but there is no proof. They say issues yet, they can't even bring out a evidence that it has been done. I am not siding with anyone, but I just really wonder, is that how we think already? Is that how we see things? Imagine a 18-year old person, who hasn't yet graduated in College becomes a President, what would all the Filipinos think, first sentence which surely will come out is "How did that happen?!" What is a president for you? What qualities are you looking for? Do you blame the administration or the President itself for these? Isn't the voters who should take half blame because they voted for them to sit there. But, all I can say is, they blame fully to the President and it's administration. Sorry, no personal hits or something, I just thought about this after reading a newspaper.

honestly i am not blaming the president, what i blame is his/her class (group of people according to income). the president is a representation of a class. we will know what is the prevailing or ruling class by just looking at the sit of the president. and he/she is there to represent his/her class. so if you are not in the same status (economically speaking) then you will not be satisfied how he/she will run a country because you don't have the same interest. regarding about the people should be blame i don't think that they should be. in the first place never in the history of the philippines that there was someone who came from the lower class of society run for president. the rich and famous are the only ones who dare to run. why? like what i have said it's represented by class (ruling) if your not part of it then your out. i has been our culture if you study history. so because the people who run as presidents are not from the majority classes (lower class) then most of us feel that they are not doing anything for us. the blame part, the people has no true choice. they are left with evil or the lesser evil one, but in essence they are still evil(figuratively). i think that there is a need to over haul our culture if we do want genuine change. but mind you this is not an easy task, there is a rough road ahead if you dare. there are people out there who benefited in this type of system that will stop you. they will call you all the evils of the world just to discredit you. but if you really want change then i guess you should dare to take the challenge. how, this could be a start by informing others about how bad our country has been. there are others other who did try their best to make a change if have tap them then may be you can move forward with them. keep your fingers crossed my filipino friend!

Yes I agree that almost every president comes from the upper class.. I think its because on of the requirement of being a Presidential candidate is the ability or you have to have the means to have a nationwide campaign and it requires money.. I also believe that there are lucky people who are born with a silver spoon like our President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, she have the means and she has the name since her father was once a great leader of our beloved country.. And there are people who have luck and perseverance on them like Senator Manny Villar.. He started from a lower class family, he is a product of poverty but he slowly and constantly rising from the ranks..

A president for me is selfless and only thinks of the welfare of his subjects. He/She should exhibit a sense of decency and morality. He/She should be God-fearing and is always mindful of what's right. But I guess I live in a world of fairy tale and that would never happen. Especially not with the current one.

I agree to what you say, that the President should be God-fearing.. I believe that putting god first and foremost is the most important in anything we do.. By seeking God and asking guidance in every decisions we make.. And it will really help the President in building our nation..

honest and concern with his people, these are the qualities im looking for a president. but i doubt if any of these qualities have the candidates bearer. its so disappointing that most of the candidates have agenda of their own and most of the time are only after their personal needs and advantage. not only the president has to be blame but people under his administration who has the same attitude.
