An hour early for mass,I had the chance to visit the Blessed Sacrament last Sunday. I chose to open the Bible, hoping to listen to God instead of talking and mentioning my petitions. I last read the Bible in April and finished the book of Nehemiah. I was trying to remember the story but couldn't even recall the other characters. But I jumped to the next book, Tobit. And whola! I was not just given an answer to my predicaments (finances), but I was reminded of the virtues a person must live with so God will be pleased. For a bonus, there was a real good love story. You want to know? Open to Tobit. It's a short story.

There's this true story of a very successful man. He is based in Singapore. He works as the second top man in an airline. He is second only by virtue of his race. Anyways he has a happy family and no worry in life. He goes to the park every lunchtime. Someone asked him what is he doing there for a whole hour everyday. He said that twenty-three hours of each day he allot for his work, his family, his friends, his own self. That one hour is for reading about his God. He is halfway through his third reading of the Bible from cover to cover. Each time he reads, he said, God gives him a new message. evandonaldson, I was put to shame because I had so much time and read many books. Now I am trying to read the greatest book of all.

Sadly, the last time I read the Bible was when I was in highschool and I really missed reading it since I get to know the history of our faith and get some lessons in life.
