Would you sell or no?

I found a story today about a show called "The antiques roadshow" Here's a quote from the story...
"A woman brought four pieces of carved Chinese Jade that she inherited to a Roadshow event in Raleigh, North Carolina over the weekend. The pieces of carved jade and celadon dated from the Chien Lung Dynasty (1736-1795) and included a large bowl crafted for the Emperor. Asian arts appraiser James Callahan said that a mark on the bottom of the bowl indicated it was created for an imperial order. The pieces were given a conservative auction estimate of up to $1.07 million."
Now here is the question I am asking you would you sell this and get the money or would you hold on to it and keep it in the family since she did inherit it?
In this economy I am pretty sure I would sell some of it but I would want to leave at least one piece for my kids. Who knows what they might face in the future, as of right now though I am broke and could really use the help. Your turn.

Wow! Well, if I had a lot of inherited items amounting like that for each of them. Then I would/might only sell one item and keep the rest. Of course I would only sell that one piece of item, if and only if I really do not have any other source of income and am really flat rat broke. As I have already mentioned I keep thing that are given to me. Much more if they had that kind of value, sentimental as well as monetary. Those are pieces of history and Id like to help future historians/anthropologists/other scientists, in studying history by keeping those artifacts safe.
Another stipulation is that I would only sell that one item to a Museum or some other public viewing gallery. Id want to share that piece to everyone interested in it or not. I might also consider giving the collection of items to a Museum for public viewing and safekeeping but the ownership and rights to those items would still be mine.

I would sell the pieces now and put the money away for my kids. Of course, I would use some of the money myself for things I could use. I've held onto things too many times that could be valueable later and had them either lost or broken, or they could even be stolen. That would be terrible. I'm not a risk taker at all. I would definitely sell right away.
