i see a star sign for some of the mylot users with some numeric within.
what does this indicate ?

The star means your reputation in the site, you can get your star when you reach the 100 comments or posts so now i see that you have 92 so you just need 8 comments more and then you will have your star with your reputation number the next step is reach the 500 comments or posts and then you will can copy and paste some information too ;), hope so that his help you.
