what do you think about the new google voice service?

I was thumbing through the internet the other day and I saw google voice! It was kind of neat to know that you could get your voice messages over the internet through google. There is a service called k7 that allows you to send and recieve faxes as well as email, but I thought with google, it would be more reliable. Google voice is in beta version now and only allows invites like they did gmail. I was wondering if anyone is using this right now and how they liked it? :)
