While reading the newpaper this morning, a news attracted my attention. A driver of State Transport of Gujrat has committed suicide by taking poison. A few days back while he was driving the bus it collided with a multi-utility vehicle having 7 passangers and all of them were spot dead. Only the driver remained alive. He fled the scene to avoid being beaten by public to his native village. Yessterday his body was discovered in a filed by a neighbour. While he left after accident he did not made any contact with any other person of his office. He also had a clean record and he never fell in accident. He left a suicide note stating that he felt guilty as he could not save the lives of the passangers of the other vehicle and he could not bear the burden of guilt and as such committed the act. Ever since reading the news, I am in a dilemma whether he has done right or he was totally wrong in so deciding as road accidents are alomost part and parcel of a driver's life. What you think of him? Was he right or otherwise?

Hi Arka! Killing oneself must not be supported no matter what. That's the most undesirable way to end one's life. I find this a very touching story, a story that tells us that all is not that bleak! We do have good people who have good values and instincts. The man wanted to reverse the accident but that was not to happen. His end must not be glorified but I have high regards for people who ate thoughtful, conscious and sensitive. It's sad that he killed himself so soon.

Indeed he was a man of high sense of values. I wish we have more people like him on this world today.

This type of peopel are really honourable, so I feel, though their action may not be supported in all cases. But if we consider his thoughts we feel an urge to respect him.

this is so sad, it must be so hard to cope with, such situations are extremely bad, it seems like there is no one to help and one takes all the responsibilities on himself, even if the mistake was of the other driver, still this bus driver will take it all on himself, such things sadly happen in life, sorry for his family and all the other victims...

There are some people or more precisely some situations where people fail to control their emotions.
