If it's leisure reading then I guess I put in an hour each day, adding up the free time before my class, on the commute etc. If it's academic reading, well I read for about 2-3 hours a day for my class, that's what grad studies do to you I guess and I think I this isn't even enough. Good thing I read fast so that I could maximize the time I spend reading.

If I have a really good book and free time I could read all day, it is one of the greatest pleasures of my life. I like to fall asleep with a good book and to have some relaxing time early evening reading a good book on the balcony as the sun goes down. I love to read in peace without any distractions.

On average I read about an hour a day before I go to sleep. But if I am into a particular novel I can spen 6-7 hours reading with a few 5-10 minute breaks here or there. The amount I read in a day depends on my attitude towards the novel. Some I can't get enough of and just keep turning the pages and others I need to put down and contemplate what I just read. For instance, I'm a big fan of Cormac McCarthy. I spent 5 hours the other day reading Blood Meridian. But, I read the Iliad a while ago and had to break it up into hour intervals.

I can and have read entire books in one sitting so I can read probably up to 10 hours if I have nothing else I need to do. I usually read 1 or 2 hours in the evening.

When i read for pleasure i usually never read more than 2-3 hours a day, when i read for study reason, in particular before exams in the university i can read even for 8-9 hours a day.. but that becomes quite stressing and definetely bad for you :D Happy mylotting

I usually read for 1-2 hours. Sometimes I'll read for 3-4 hours when I'm really into a book.

Honestly, it depends on what I have to do that day. If things are slow I can ready for 3-4 hours. Other times it is about an hour or so. I really enjoy reading so I try to squeeze in a little bit of time if I can.
