Do you still try to smell the flowers?

My garden is in bloom. Lots of wildflowers, chichirica, forget-me-nots and the little white fragrant sampaguita. Sampaguita smells like jasmine. The older folks like picking a few and tucking them underneath their house dresses. The young ladies like to sew them into a garland and hang them somewhere in the house. As for me, I just like to smell them when I pass by my gate. Do you still try to smell the flowers?

Yes I love to smell my flowers. When my peonys were in bloom I would smell them quite often. They smell soooo good.

Yes, I find it's really fun when I take my niece to see her face when she smells a new flower. I really love roses and magnolias.

I do still stop to smell the flowers. I have always done that. It is just the simplest things that bring me joy. My favorite is the dark purple iris that I have planted in front of my house. I had it as a kid and it has always brought back such great memories. I stop and smell them every morning before I go to work. I have to admit that I am also guilty of stopping and smelling the sunflowers in the grocery store too. ;)

I am glad that there are people like you who still stop and take time to smell the flowers. Someone told me that that is actually a way of thanking God for the blessings of beauty in our lives. You are a beautiful person, melon007. Hey, are you a female Bond?
