Can I make a lot of money if I have EKG, Phlebotomy, AND EMT certification?

I live in NYC by the way. I got my EMT certification in May 2008, I've been working for a private EMS company for a year now, I currently make $11.50/hour but i'm "supposed" to get a bump in raise in a couple weeks, have to be evaluated first. Anyway, I'm gonna go to school for EKG and Phlebotomy this fall and I was just curious how much money I can make as an EKG/Phlebotomy technician especially since I have my EMT certification as well? Hoping it's not no stupid $11.50 an hour. Thanks.

Just be thankful you don't live in SC. I make minimum wage as an EMT, but we actually work 24 hour shifts so we have 8 hours of overtime one week and 32 hours of overtime the next week. You could probably make more money going back to get your paramedic, as this would allow you to do EKG's and Phlebotomy as well. I do some dispatch occasionally, and typically earn about $13 an hour...but I wouldn't wish it on anybody. I also own an emergency contact service called EmerConnect, and a lot of Police, Fire, and EMS workers down here promote it (and get paid very well).
