If there is a time-machine, at what time do you want to go back to?

Hi everybody! If there were really a time-machine, and you were given the chance to use it for one-time only, at what time or event do you want to go back to? I just want to hear answers from a lot of people here coz one time, my classmate was asked in a popularity contest the same thing. He answered, 'I want to go back to the time when my grandfather is still living', and to his answer everybody were touched, and he won the title Mr. Good Will. Your answer can be anything - time, place, event, history, or even fantasy, as long as its in the past. But you if you don't want the past, you can go to the future. I appreciate any kinds of responses. (If this topic was already started previously, I'm sorry, just inform me)

i would like to go back to the time when my paternal grandmother is still alive. not because i love her, but because she oppressed me and maligned me big time when i was still a kid. and looking back now, i wish that i was courageous enough to talk back to her.

This is also a good thought. Its normal for children to get inferior from someone above. Even for adults in the office, it happens. But if you are to go back to that time, the adult you is going to talk with your grandma, not the child you. You are probably more mature now, compared when you were a child. You know how to deal with your grandmother if ever.

If I could choose any place or time that I would want to go to... It would be back to the night when I was conceived.. To find out the truth behind my birth. Then I would be able to find my real father.. I have never met this person and it would really be nice to know who he is...

No.. My mother had a couple male friends at the same time... Even through it is one of my hopes to find him.. In reality; unless it is a federal requirement for all of us one day to hand over our DNA.. it will stay unsolved...

Oh..one can only appreciate their father if they had a good experience with them. I hope your situation has never affected your personality until today. Do you have an idea where he is now?

I would like to go back to when i was first born. To be able to see my birth and then to try to make friends with my mom so I could stay close to the little me. Try to keep her from making the same mistakes so that my life would turn out different.

Wow, this is a great thought. But you cant undo the things that has been done. If there really is a time machine then I would probably do that too, but we ourselves are the determinants of what we are today. I hope your mistakes has taught you something which you will live for it forever.

I would like to visit Elizabethan England, so long as I can make it back to the present. I love British history, Queen Elizabeth I especially, so I'd love to spend a week or two wondering around back then. I'd never want to actually live there though, so hopefully the time machine isn't going to break! I'd want to get prepared beforehand, with time period money and clothes, so I wouldn't have to live as a peasant.

Haha, well I forgot to mention that you can go back, of course. It's just temporary. And yes, I love the british history too. Im super amazed and inspired because of the movies I watch, they are really great. I love the historical and legendary tales of the previous people. And the costume as well, lol. So what do you plan to take a long with you? I guess you can't even take your laptop. Maybe you could just study some existing scientific principles today and introduce it to the past, it would probably save you.

I think I'd be too paranoid that's I'd muck up history to try and really change anything. Time paradoxes hurt my head. :P I'd want to have nice period clothing and plenty of coins and such. And probably a couple history books that talk about London in whatever time period, so I could get a feel for where I'd be going.

It really is. Me too, I want to go back to those times, I'm not contented with the stories I read and with the pictures I see. I want to experience the life as the civilization is still under development. If only I could introduce something wayback.. I'd probably have a name today. LOL.

If there was a time machine, i'd like to go back to the time when i was filling out my college applications. Funny how I had a dream about it just last night. If I had started being independent in college I would have made better choices in life. I don't blame my folks for sheltering me throughout but their influence was constantly at the top of my mind even when I was working.

Hi. This time machine is somehow a medium to try to correct your mistaken decision. But hey, you can't live with regrets in life. Cheer yourself up, and try to see the goodness of what you are right now after you did something in the past. Try to focus today, and collect something for the future.

If i could go back to the past i would go back to the day i lost my virginity and I would have saved it til my hubby. If i could go to the future i would go to 2038 because then I would know how many kids i have.girls boys.. how long my marriage lasted.. or if im still married. Youknow all the fun things in life, but then that might be spoiling life ..

Life is full of surprises, twists and turns. Great if you see yourself and your family stay unbroken. But what will you do now if you you find out in the future that your expectations from today is not gonna happen? (this is maybe why i prefer to ask about the past than the future).. And you know in my country, virginity is something which should be kept for the husband only, that is for women, I can't comment on that coz its something very personal.

I used to daydream about it. But I have come to terms with reality, that there can never be a time machine. No matter how much science improves, there cannot be a time machine which can take us to the past. Even God will tell you that it cannot be done. About going to the future by making me frozen or something. I would like to go to a time when there is no diseases, pollution etc. In short a time where life is good.

Hey, I would like to go back to the 50's when Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee were popular. They were married to each other and made some movies together. They are both gone now, but they left a big impression on me when I was a child. I like the way the men and women dressed back then too, and it was an innocent time; so very opposite of 2009.

You probably lived in the 40's or 60's. Im from the 19th century, and i can only appreciate the fashion of the 70's or 80's. Others are still very good. But I think classical fashion will get modernized soon. Bobby and and Sandra are really popular in their times. I saw their pictures, but I havn't watch them yet.
