Hello Mylotters. What do you guys think of Barack Obama . Do you think he has been successful so far in his tenure? . What do you think ofhis policies?. Do you think they will be enough to lift America out of this financial quagmire . He was sworn in amidst a lot of hysteria . My query is so far has that hope and expectation been vindicated?

You Know... I lived through the depression era, a time when the stock market went belly up and nobody had a job. People were even selling their cars for a little of nothing to feed their families. Men were standing on street corners trying to sell apples. My uncle, who was a mechanic worked on a man's car for two days, putting as few parts as possible in it to get it running, he charged the man $1.25 and took the money to a grocery store and bought pork steak, we hadn't had any meat for two weeks. Hoover, a republican president, did nothing to improve things, when FDR got in office in 1933, he put people back to work with government projects. It took a while to get things going again. Obama inherited a similar situation and he is trying to get things back on track and it won't happen over night. So, everyone should get behind him and try to help, instead of doing nothing but criticizing him.

Who is this idiot RFMaster06? Is he a radical Communist? It looks like he knows nothing about the mess that GWB left Americans when he left office. When Bush took office there was a surplus, when he left we were in debt over our head. You better listen to someone besides the repubs.

Washington, Jefferson and Adams were men of different beliefs, but they had one goal and that was build a nation of free people that weren't under the rule of King George. It's too bad that people in this great country can't work towards one goal of pulling this country out of this recession, ending the conflict in the middle east and making sure that no more of our military personel will lose life or limb fighting in wars that we have no business being involved in. Okay RF, so you spent some time in the Army, may I ask what time period that was and where did you serve. By the way, I thank you for your service to our country! I am a veteran also of 6 years duty in the Air Force after WWII and during the Korean War. A high school friend who enlisted with me was killed in the war on November 30, 1950, his serial number was one more than mine. I come from a long line of military patriots dating back to the French and Indian War.

There should never have been a surplus, the government should never run a surplus. That is property of the American People. It is not me who knows nothing. I suggest the Author look up Marxism, Fascism, Socialism, Communism, and Capitalism. Obama is no Capitalist. Anything else is anti-American. What did you vote for, did you know, were you fooled too. Based on your post it is evident that there aren't many if any layers of understanding of either our economic circumstance or economic and political systems. I don't fault you for this I fault our sub par educational system. May God Bless You

I agree with you iriscot! GWB left this country in shambles. Our relations with other countries was almost non-existant, the economy was turned upside down, this country went over to start a war based on a lie under GWB. The economy is what it is because of the fact that Industry along with the Industrial jobs have been shipped overseas. Just look at Industrial states like Michigan and Detroit....now it is the IT sector that is moving overseas. Obama is in favor of bringing those jobs back to the United States. When people have jobs, they earn a paycheck, with a paycheck American citizens can fuel the economy. It's that simple.

I think Barak has a long way to go to earn the trust of his constituents. He's going to travel a path that's full of hardship and difficult choices. It will all depend on the choices he will make. Let's just hope and pray he chooses the right ones.

I think President Obama is a Usurper of Power, a Neo-Marxist, an apologist, and an internationalist. Until I see his birth certificate, I will question his citizenship; hay I got mine ! I believe his policies are largely anti-capitalist and thus un-American. I believe his economic policies are a threat to the integrity of our Constitution and our way of life. May God Bless America.
