Burqa ban

What do you guys think about the recent Burqa ban that is being imposed by the French Goverment which prohibits Muslim women wearing a Burqa in public. Well such a directive has triggered massive hue and cry among the Muslim Fraternity . What are your take on that? . Dont you think as a country which is purpotedly secular it should respect the customs of different ethnicities

Well, you are right in saying that a secular country should respect the customs of all religions. But, what i believe is that people have become more possessive towards their religion than security & this is giving rise to all the tough response from the masses.
Burqa is a part of customs and religion but general security is a part of life, and life should be considered above all religions, as life is a gift of god while religion is a craft of man.
