Sounds like an interesting game, but I can't really get excite about spending time on raising virtual plants and animals. When it comes down to it, its just electrons moving through wires. I would rather raise real plants and animals. I don't live on a farm , but even in my apartment I can do that. I can plant seeds in a few pots and keep them on the balcony, or get a hydroponic kit and raise them in the apartment themselves. It's an amazing feeling to see seeds grow into plants, even if you only have room for a few. It feels much better than the virtual ones because these are real. I grow a few tomato plants on my balcony. It see them grow, they're really alive. Then I get to actually eat the tomatoes. If you want to raise animals, you can raise small ones like gerbils or hamsters in your apartment. I even sold some gerbils to a pet store after I raised them. Raising and caring for real living things also gives you a closer connection to nature.

I heard farm town frommy officemates. They are actually addicted to it. I am also curious to know how to play the game but as of now, I am not exploring it. I don't want to divide my attention between my online money-making stuffs and farm town. I prefer the former as it will make me earn money even a little.
