My baby girl was born on Saturday

I know not many of you knew I was pregnant because son that I had in 2007 has spina bifida. I kept quiet about my pregnancy because of the first few comments like 'Does this one has spina bifida'? I am delighted that my baby Amber is healthy and she weighed 8 pounds at birth. She is so adorable and I feel delighted to have a daughter at long last. She has long fingers and everyone thinks when she is older she will play the piano. Which months were your children born in? How did you feel when you saw your baby boy or girl?

My oldest, Dearra, was born in December, 15 days late. My twins, Naomi and Cary, were born in September, 15 days early. Aside from relief that the labor was over, lol, the feeling when you see your newborn child is pretty indescribable! Congratulations!

Wow! You had twins and 15 days early must have meant they were healthy and decent weights. Having Dearra 15 days late might have been worrying for you. I went past my due date by 2 days.

Congratulations on the birth of a healthy baby girl! I remember you mentioning it awhile back that you were pregnant. Both of my kids were born in January. It is hard to describe how you feel when you first see a newborn baby.

Thanks. I mentioned my pregnancy a few times on My Lot. Then I had the supportive words of some friends which I found valuable. My first thought was 'my little girl at last'.

Super big congratulations on the delivery of a beautiful little girl! With long fingers, she could play the violin too! I don't have any children of my own. My stepson was enough trouble and I just couldn't think of bringing another child into the mix. I can't wait to see a picture. What did you name her?

My baby girl is called Amber and today she is one week old. I guess she will be really musical like her toddler brother. Your stepson was demanding and you did well to cope with that. I hope to get a friend to upload a photo of Amber on to My Lot. Thanks Trace 86.

Congratulations max, this is wonderful news. I'm so happy for you. My children were born in January and March, both days were hot. I was present at the birth of both my children, and to try and describe the feeling is almost impossible. It was such a feeling of love, that I can't find words to justify it. I can remember both days as clearly as if they were yesterday, and that was nearly forty years ago. May you and your two boys and your new daughter have a happy and loving lifetime together.

Thanks my friend Mipen. Even though your children were born almost 40 years ago you remember that magical feeling so clearly. I am so happy to have reached my dream to have a daughter in addition to my two lovely sons. My family is now complete along with my two wonderful dogs.

You have teenagers now so that is great. You still remember how excited you were to meet them. My toddler son was born on a Saturday just like my baby girl. I am trying to remember which day of the weak my 14 year old son was born on.

Congratulations on your baby girl. I'm glad she's healthy. If she had any problems it would have been harder for you but you have coped with your son and, from what you've said in your discussions, he's a bright, happy boy. Well done for making him that way. Enjoy both of your children. The feeling I had when I first held my first child is impossible to describe, I was happy and frightened at the same time.

I think you described your first feelings very well indeed my friend Nannacroc. I know that if something had been wrong with my baby girl I would have loved her just the same. I hope that she and my toddler son will really get on well as she gets older. My son is rewarding to care for seeing all his progress in the small steps he makes.

I had such a delightful surprise when the fetal medicine man said 'you are having a girl and she is healthy'. He was right and now I am enjoying special moments with my darling little Amber. Thanks.

Congratulations, my friend :) So you now have a baby girl, it is nice, but beware - in my experience girls bring the most problems as they grow up hehe I like the name Amber, very pretty, like amber itself. Both my kids were born April, actually one in April 16 and the other one April 18. I guess I have this thing about April LOL

Hi my friend Araf61. You certainly have a thing about the month of April. I like to have the months in order, my first was born in April, my second was born in May and my third was born in June. My sister finds her boys easier than her girls.

Congratulations on the healthy baby! Did you deliver on July 4th? I was due that day but am still pregnant! UGH! I am headed to the doctor tomorrow to be induced. My first born is a girl and she was born in March. This one is a boy and he will, obviously, be born in July. I hope you and your family are doing well and enjoying your new little bundle!

Hi, maximax. Congratulations for the birth of your baby girl. You must be very happy now. My baby boy was born in February this year. He is about 4.5 months now. Honestly, it's hard to describe what i felt when i saw my baby. In fact, my mind was blank and only relaxed afer a last push. Then he was put on my tummy and pee on the doctor. We laughed then. This is the funny part. Happy mylotting and happy parenting.

Congrats on your baby. I do not have children I dream over and over again about that day that my children will be born. It must be a hard yet rewarding task to bring a child into the world then care for the little bundle of joy. I always crying hoping that one day I will have that chance before God takes me away. I know that I would like to have children in the spring time because its the perfect birthday season. Also my wedding is in Januaray so it makes it a good span of time for aniversary in the winter and birthdays in the spring/summer. Once again congrats

Congrats on having a healthy baby girl, its got to be a relief that she is ok. How is your son doing? Is there a surgery that can help your son, I hope he is better and can live a good life. I am sorry I don't know alot about spina bifida.

Congratulations my dear friend. I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad time with the birth of your daughter, but all is well, and you should be really happy that everything turned out ok. It must have been scary at the time, but you have a beautiful piano-playing daughter. Brightest Blessings.

Congratulations again on the birth of your baby girl! I love her name! Amber is such a pretty name. I'm happy for you that she is healthy, too. I had two boys. The oldest, who just turned 28 on Monday, was born June 29, 1981, three weeks ahead of schedule. The youngest was born on January 26, 1984. I was pregnant a third time and that one was due in September but it was a tubal pregnancy and my tube ruptured. I wanted no more children after that. How can you describe the feeling when you first see your newborn baby? I was flooded with emotion! I cried. I was thrilled to finally see the little fella who had been kicking me so hard for so long! With my second baby, he was breech so I had a C-section. I was also extremely filled with emotion when they showed him to me. I couldn't hold him because I had had a spinal and had to remain flat on the operating table with my head down. When I first got to hold him, it was just like the very first time. There are no words that can really describe that feeling. Immense joy is the closest I can come to it. Again, congratulations on the arrival of your little Amber! Now, get healthy yourself and post photos!!!

Hi maxmimax...Congratulations to you and your family - a happy and healthy baby girl who already has a career as a concert pianist! I wish only health and happiness to you and your entire family!
