what do you prefer to do with your cellphone? i usually use the text feature of my phone since calling is more expensive. We have promos for text messaging which makes it cheaper. although the downside to this is sometimes, the text message doesn't get to the intended person

I prefer to text. cause it takes to long to text someone no wants to type long msgs. then calling with my friends takes up 5 hours n i never get anything done around me. n calling sometimes becomes boring with some of my friends. then texting is free on my sister phone i use sometimes.

I have a pay as you go phone, so I pay for both text messages and phone calls. If I just want to have a short discussion, and I don't really want to talk to the other person, then I'll just text them. It's a lot easier than a 20 minute phone call that could have been done through 2 or 3 texts. If I know the person is going to keep texting me back and forth, then I will just call them. Sometimes it's easier because I'm not that fast at texting, and it's easier to talk then to look down at your phone and try to type everything out.

Texting seem to be the choice for a lot of people. I think because it's less engaging. And also if the person on the other line is busy - and I don't wanna be a bother, I text instead of calling. I used to call just because I felt like texting takes too long. But now that I have a blackberry, I'm officially one of those who text first to check if someone is not busy. If they person is busy - then they won't text back right away. But if they are - or if it takes some time for them to respond, then I assume that they're too busy to talk on the phone.

I use both. i have unlimited texting on my phone so I tend to use it more through the week. I have 5000 nights and weekends and so I just tend to use my call minutes then.

I definitely prefer to text, it may take longer but i'm more comfortable texting than calling someone because i'm not very talkative with most people
