Do you leave Christmas lights on your porch/home year-round?

Do you leave Christmas lights on your porch/home year-round, or do you take them down and put them up every season? We leave the lights up on our porch, but we take the rest of the stuff down. It is just too aggravating to put them up on the porch each year…

We too leave ours up all year round. as a matter of fact we still have them pluged in lol going up the stair way.. I know we shouldn't be it helps light up the stairs so that we don't fall down them.. I have done that before and end up with a huge bruise on my arm when i landed on the bottom step.. Outside we still have the lights up too only thing we don't have up of course is the tree with lights...

I agree. We took them down last year, but this past Christmas, we left them up instead of taking them down, and I have actually used them a few times since then to light up the porch while sitting out there. My friend has them strung up all over his back yard, and we use them at his house when we have cookouts and stuff out there. They add a nice touch. He even has a set that looks like Michael Myers from the old HALLOWEEN movies and they actually have a sound box on them that you can turn on to play the theme song from the movies. They are usually quite the conversation piece when we have a party there...

We tend to leave our lights up all the time. It's just easier to leave them up and not have to deal with them later because when it gets close to the holidays, things tend to get rather hectic. And, we really hate climbing up on ladders to put them up and then again to take them down just a few weeks later.

I think it would be best to take them down and put them but up each year if you are going to use them to decorate. I think it looks awful when they are up year round even if they arent plugged in and lit up. Me I just save all the hassle and dont decorate the outside lol. It looks so pretty when others do though!

I have actually used them to light up my porch in the last couple of weeks while I was sitting out there at night. They give off a nice glow, and do not attract the moths and other bugs that the regular porch light seems to bring. I plan to put up more of them in the next little while so that I can use them to light up other areas of my yard when I need to. My friend leaves his up year-round, and we use them in his yard when we are having cook-outs and stuff.
