I went to bed last night at about 1:30, woke up this morning at about 6:30 and could not get back to sleep. It's 9:00 now and I'm still awake, but I know soon, or some time around noon I'll become very tired and probably take a nap. I generally do feel tired throughout the day when this happens. Though I'd say if you're getting 7+ hours of sleep and you still feel exhausted, that's probably not a good thing, and I'd try to figure out what's causing it.

I too often feel as though I haven't had enough sleep, no matter how much sleep I have had the previous night. Apparenlty I am not getting restful sleep. I have read that if one is too hot, too cold, had too much to drink etc...that they don't fall into a deep enough sleep...and they wake up feeling the effects. Don't know if there is much truth to it, but it sounds like it could be true.

yes, all the time. I even researched symptoms of chronic fatigue, but it seems that it was in the extremes. I just feel tired all the time, some of my friends say its due to stress that's why no matter how much sleep I have my body doesn't seem to get enough rest. another is that very fact, that even as I sleep my body is not getting the rest it needs, that no matter how long I stay in bed my body don't get the rest it requires maybe due to troubled sleep, wrong sleeping position, wrong furniture even wrong pillow. My mom said her doctor said that one reason for restless sleep is overactive gastric juices, so my mom takes one antacid every night before she sleeps, she said it helps her sleep well, maybe you can try that? Or maybe you can try to change your position when you sleep or if you can change the bed, it's worth a try maybe it can help :)

I feel this way every day. I work late into the night sometimes, then I usually get up about 8-9 AM. My schedule doesn't leave much time for sleeping.

popp and others, i am just wondering that the sleep that you get,is it kind of disturbed sleep or you have a sound sleep. if it is disturbed sleep, it answers the problem. but,if you have a sound sleep and yet feel that you did not sleep well,i am sure that you are being bothered by something mentally, i mean something because of which you are thinking a lot and it is worrying you. try playing some good music that can relax your mind before going to bed.
