The Price of Freedom.

I have been working on a video as a tribute to the American service men and women to celibate this 4th of July. After a month of work here it is. It is a compelling tribute to all those who have served and are serving in the armed forces of The United States of America. It is through the sacrifice of their time, their blood, and sometimes their lives that the United States has maintained its freedom and independence. This is for all those honorable and dedicated men and women who have who have paid the price of freedom and gone in harms way in our defense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVeTmZ0voiM Let me know what you think.

Ask the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. For most the American presence is welcome and their biggest fear is that the Americans will leave before their freedom from tyranny is assured.

Some were ready and prepared, Others were so young and so naive. Some of them chose to serve our country, Others had no choice, they were called to serve. As they hugged and kissed their loved ones bye, Their hearts were heavy and tears filled in their eyes. Not knowing if they would be coming back home, Or if they would die, it was all so unknown. As they prepared to fight for our freedom, We prayed to God for their safety. They all left their loved ones, And their lives that they had known. They departed to an unfamiliar land Risking their lives and making so many sacrifices. Being away from family and friends, Giving up what most can't even comprehend. The horrors and atrocities that Our Veterans faced and endured, You may not ever know or totally understand. They protected our rights, our freedom, and the rights of others, So that we could have and enjoy freedom in our land. Some came home to a Hero's welcome, Others didn't come home at all, they made the ultimate sacrifice. Some came home and were disgracefully shunned, Others have been so shamefully forgotten. All of our Veterans served our country, With great pride and true honor. There is a price for freedom which they ALL so graciously paid. They ALL greatly deserve to be remembered and honored, Afterall....they are truly America's Heros ! : )

Thanks for doing this. My son is still in the Navy, with luck he will be home by Christmas. I appreciate the thought and I appreciate what all of these men and women are doing for us. Unfortunately, our government is trying to take away so many of the benefits they deserve. The VA hospitals are often inadequately funded and understaffed. Thanks to the people who have served over the years, we have so much more than they ever dreamed.

Thank you very much for sharing. It is a great tribute to our troops. We must never forget the true price of freedom. At the same time, we must never forget that we have our part also, in defending freedom, but making sure that no laws are passed taking away the rights that these men and women are fighting and dying for. We want our troops to still have a free country to come home to.

Well done! To those who would judge the soldiers out serving please remember this: they were sent there to do their job. They are not the ones who chose to go into afghanistan or iraq or vietnam or anywhere else past or present. They were sent there and they go with dignity and do what most of us don't have the balls to do. Don't put your politics on their heads, they aren't the ones responsible. They fo and struggle to deal daily with impossible situations that the majority of us are lucky to never face. Give them some respect.
