I used to apply coconut oil to my hair in my school days and it continued for some time in college. Then I observed that my friend was not applying any type of oil and his hair is looking normal. After that I also stopped applying. Now, after so many years my hair is still normal and I realized that it is not necessary to apply any kind of oil to hair. But I read somewhere that you have to apply oil and comb your hair which helps in reducing hair fall. I want to know whether all of you apply any kind of oil/cream/jelly regularly to your hair ?

Coconut oil is really good for your hair. I used it before when i was in Primary school, it makes your hair more darker and strong. I only stop it coz it's hard to find coconut here in Uk, so now i am using hair serum, makes your hair shiny. Cheers.

It is surprising that you don't get coconut oil in UK. Anyway, I want to test for some more years whether my hair will remain the same condition or not. :-)

Hi, gadget_lover. When I was very young, I used to use the Petroleum Oil and the Jelly kind too. I love the baby scented fragrance, it smells really good. Now, I just use Indian Hemp on my hair and my girls hair too. My son uses Coconut Oil on his hair. It keeps it very moisturized and soft looking.

I have very curly hair. If I don't use oils or serums in my hair it gets super frizzy.

hi... parents tend to insist on applying coconut oil at young age. even though it is good and makes your hair darker it has got nothing to do with hair fall and growth. cream is used for styling purpose basically. Hair fall is something that is related to production of hormones. hope its helpful
