Sounds Like the Way Our Country is Headed Today

I was reading a journal from a WWII soldier who fought in France, Scott Collins, and in it he mentions a lecture that was given to the troops by a chaplain, explaining how they got to be fighting the Germans. This is what the chaplain said: "First, people tolerate evil because they see some benefit to themselves. Then, they feed it in hope that it will turn into something else. Then, they appease it in hope that it will not turn against them. Then, they respect it because the fear it. Finally, someone has to step up and stamp it out!" This sounds like a description of Obama's rise to power. So many people voted for him because of what they thought they could get out of his government. But it will just go from bad to worse, until no one will be able to stand up against him. the problem today is that we don't have anyone to stamp his tyranny out, like the US did for the German people in WWII. So we have to make sure that he doesn't get as far as Hitler did.

Connier, I am sure that compairing the president of the United States to Hilter made you happy, and I know there are people that would agree with you, but you couldn't be more wrong. The compairson of the Bush administration to Hitlers is much more approperate, and actually makes much more sense. The country gave Bush all of the power he wanted after 9/11, then he limited the rights of the people by pushing the patroit act through which ignored the constatution, and then he had to lie to the American people to get them to support a war (sounds alot like what Hitler did), and he even had is own head of propaganda (Karl Rove). So where were you when Bush was doing this?

I never said I was a supporter of Bush. But Bush was not hailed as the Messiah like Obama is, so he could not get away with everything Obama can. Yes, the Patriot act was unconstitutional, but it was very unlikely to be used against true American citizens by Bush. But Obama can and probably will use it against the people. Every person Obama appointed to any position is against the Second Amendment, as he is himself, and if they don't respect one ammendment there is no resaon to believe that they will support any of the Bill of Rights. Obama has practically taken over the car and banking industries, and soon healthcare, which Bush did not do, and which is a huge step toward socialism. All the politicians, both Republicans and Democrats, lie to the American people. Look at all the campaign promises of Obama that were not fulfilled.

How were our rights limited because of the Patriot Act? Bush didn't lie. He made a mistake based on bad intelligence. When are you people going to get over that? You probably also think he stole the election in 2000 even though he was ahead every time the vote was counted in Florida. As far as ignoring the Constitution, Obama is turning that into an art form. How exactly was Bush like Hitler?

That is why it's so good to have people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Neal Bortz, Bill O'Reilly and Fox News. They give us a different take on what's going on in politics. If you just listen to the main stream media, you're just getting one side, the Obama side.

Yes, the mainstream media idolizes him, so he can do anything he wants and won't get called to task for it. I don't agree with everything those talk show people say, but at least they are independent enough to give us a different viewpoint than the "party line."
