I think it is okay to drink milk and take a calcium supplement. Calcium can gather in the kidneys. Drinking acidic juices such as citrus juices can help to counteract this. The calcium should be in a form that can be easily absorbed. Many of the calcium supplements are made from crushed seashells. This kind is not easily absorbed into the body. A form like calcium citrate is easily absorbed. I take calcium citrate in a capsule. A good place to buy is puritan.com. Hope this helps.

Yes Puritan.com's prices are much better than GNC. That is where I get my calcium citrate in capsule. I am getting ready to order now because they just started a buy 1 get 2 free sale. Check it out, puritan.com.

I also drink calcium in the past when I can not sleep, but according to a book that I have read you also have to drink magnesium. I do drink 333 mg of calcium per day and 100 mg of magnesium of almost 6 months but nothing happened to me. I guess you just have to drink more water as well.
Are you a male or a female? Because if you're a female your body is in dire need of calcium especially if you are in the 30+ age range. You can not surely get it from milk since the calcium content is much lower than the one obtained from supplements.
To be more sure, it is much better if you'll ask your doctor.

taking calcium can sometimes cause harm to our health unless following the doctor's advice. i think drinking milk is better than taking calcium. besides milk, there are many kinds of othar food rich in calcium. if you choose such food in your daily diet, you can have enough calcium.

You can take calcium by enjoying our dairy products, like milk, cheese, fresh milk, yogurt, it helps to give you more calcium, and less expenses, because milk is the best example of calcium, that you will gain strong bones and a calcium intake, it is a vitamin itself.

I advice you to just drink milk everyday and lessen your intake of calcium because medicines sometimes affect our internal organs such as kidneys and liver.
Most of the time, even if I was advice by a doctor to drink a certain type of medicine, I try to replace those medications with natural medicines like when I have colds, I do not immediately take medicines for colds but instead I try to increase my intake of water and fruit juice and eat a lot of fruits rich in Vitamin C.

Our bodies need calcium. How much calcium needs depend on several factors, such as gender, age, ideal body weight, etc..
Milk contains calcium. You need to consume calcium according to your needs. If you consume excessive or lack of, it will disrupt the body's metabolism.
Go balanced...

There are other sources of calcium. You might look it up on line, but I do know that brocoli has more calcium than milk does! There are other sources than just milk. I do not like milk, so I eat more cheeses (which I love) and yogurt as well. Anymore there are a lot more calcium fortified milk substitutes too...
