Does anyone here know why Sarah Palin is giving up her governorship in the state of Alaska? There are all kinds of rumors being spread around the internet. Maybe someone here knows the facts. It's possible that she is going on a speaking tour where she could rake in a lot of big money. I think she has doomed her chances for running in any national race. Who would vote for a person who quit her office?

No, she never mention anything about it to me. lol but seriously, that is what reporters want to know as well. Only her, and her closest ones. But do not worry, only time will tell what the real deal is about her stepping down from being a governor.

The people on CNN did not understand why she decided to do this. They said her press conference was a bit incoherent and seem quite strange. I just hope and pray that she decides to crawl back into the woodwork and we don't have to hear about her again.

I would trust CNN more that a lot of sources. On purpose I watched FOX news last evening and they couldn't even understand her motive, she has thrown everyone for a loop. Maybe, just maybe she has decided it is time to be a Mom?

Some seems to think she's done with politics while others think this is part of her grand plan to run for President in 2012. Whoever figures out the correct answer will be the person of the hour for awhile, I'd guess! You know, I may have thought a lot of things about Sarah Palin but I'd never have predicted that she'd abandon her position and the people of her beloved state this way. There has to be something in the wind, either very good or very bad. I'm sure we'll know before too long. She'll probably give an exclusive to Sean Hannity, which means I'll have to catch it on the replays on another network...lol! Annie

I heard from a TV news station that she announced that she is resigning as Governor because she wants to start early to prepare for the 2012 elections as she is planning to run for president of the United States of America. Well, here in the Philippines, there are so many congressmen and even senators who were elected but who left their posts as congressman or senator by accepting a position in the president's cabinet and later ran for office again in an elective post and were elected. So in answer to your question as to who would vote for a person who quits his office, there appears to be many who would. For what reason, well, your guess is as good as mine.

We were listening to a program that comes on the air before Rush Limbaugh (on a republican slanted station) and they were commenting about her and what her future plans might be. It seems they are of the concensus that she is going to go on a speaking tour at the religious right functions. They seem to think that she can make tons of money by taking that route, I doubt that the RNC is stupid enough to allow her to run for any high office. That may just be their guess, I don't think anyone really knows what she is going to try. By the way, old Rush loudmouth comes on the station at 11 in the morning and we make sure to switch so he doesn't contaminate our radio.

Your guess is as good as ours. According to some reports (who knows if they are accurate) Palin's own staff didn't know about her stepping down. I think it is either a deal to good to pass up (a show on FOX News making big money), or it is something bad. She loves the spot light, and those are the only two things I could think of that would make her leave Alaska. But, I could be wrong.
