To be happy money is everything

To be happy money is everything. If you think I am wrong, please send me some of the money you have. It will make me very happy. :-) What else do we need to be happy? Second is family. But family must be supportive and nice. Otherwise your life is hell. Third thing you need to be happy is to be happy. Trust me this is the biggest secret. Try this, to be happy just be happy all the time. It will become your habit and you will be happy ever after. What else do we need to be happy?

I am 68 years old and I can tell you that money will, in and of itself, not bring you happiness. What it does is gives you options but it will not make you happy. Relationships are the only true way to happiness. If you don't believe it just consider that you have all the money you could ever spend and lived alone on an island. What good would that money do you then? Many people have spent their whole lives in the pursuit of more and more money only to find at the end of their lives they are not as happy as someone that has loving family and friends and very little money.

Excellent point Sir. Relationships are the only true way to happiness. Let's say I have a great family however I am not able to provide them the important neccessaties of life because I don't have money. Not having enough money is the root of all the problems. If I have lot of money, I will certainly not be living alone in an island, I have lot of people surrounding me becuase of my money (nothing else) Even your own relatives loves you if you have money. If you don't have money, they will try to stay away from you. Ever tried to borrow money from a relative?

I differ from you in as much as money isn't everything. BUT it can buy most things that bring happiness. So family. Will your extended family(except mother and father) love you if you were broke. Would your wife continue to love you, or your husband. Would your distant relatives visit you too often if you lived in a slum? No they won't so you won't be happy. Money doesn't make you happy, the lack of it however makes you sad and miserable.

yes i am, i'm the happiest i've ever been. there is only one thing i need to be happier, more nature. to live somewhere by the woods where air is clean, this will take another year to achieve, then i'll have everything i need to be truly happy.

If I sent you money it might make you happy but it would certainly make me unhappy so over-all, there is no gain in happiness based on money alone. Cheers!!

Good point. Will it make you happy if I sent you a million dollars?

I am happy and it is not because of other people. I have discovered long ago that people are notoriously fickle and depending on them for my happiness is something quite unreliable and ultimately, foolish. Conjectures and guessing also does not occupy my mind. I am happy because I know who I am and what my place is in this universe. cheers!!

I do not think money is everything for one to be happy. Neither I would send a single penny for I never entertain an able to work hard beggar. lol. What you need to have is the contentment. With a billion dollar too you might not be happy and with mere 100 dollar i would be happy. it depends and thus difficult to universalize the theme.

Contentment is the key word. You can have lot of money and can't be content. Good response.....In order to send someone money, you must have the heart and have some money. LOL Having money helps others who don't have money. If you don't have money, you can't even help yourself.

I do think that money is consequential to be happy, with money, you can buy the things you want and you like, however, in my heart, money does not come the first. The most important thing is love. You should have love in your life, then it is happy. Love your family, your friends, and love yourself, this is always very important.

it is sad that you pin all your hopes and dreams on money. we have very little money and are basically happy. we cannot buy things but we have our health and our family so we are happy. we find things that are free or cost very little to do (like visiting the library) and bargain shop when we need things.

I think to be happy you have to do something you love doing. I was just watching TV yesterday and they were talking about this one guy who since he was little was dreaming to build a castle. he ended up being diagnosed with some psychiatric diagnoses, not sure what, and got a pension. he is now using al the money to build his castle. people are also donating money to him to help build it. looks good so far... he takes rocks and uses cement to keep them together. he is very happy, he does what he always wanted. I don't have much money, but i'm very happy, i have the love of my life, and 3 furry friends. it's more then enough to wake up with a smile on my face every day. :D

Hey, Well I have to sort of agree with you, I also think that money is really important. If you do not have money, then you cannot live. Some peoples relationships end, just because one of them doesn't have enough money to sustain the relationship. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hi Liaqatali, nice to meet you. Sorry, I differ with you. For me, money is important, but money is not everything. Many things can not be paid with money, such as self esteem, dignity, independence, feelings, etc.. Many people have suffered after a lot of money. If you do not mind, read my post at: http://hubpages.com/hub/Poem-What-are-you-looking-for. After 54 years of life, I can be happy, if I am sincere and grateful.

Thank you for responding to my discussion. I agree money is not everything. Money can not buy lot of things but without money, you are not able to do lot of things that you want to do like getting a great education, travel, make a difference in other's peoples lives by helping them. Thanks for sharing the poem.

You asked what else we need to be happy and I must say your health is extremely important. What good is so much money if your health is no good? I do agree to have money can make you happy but it truly isn't everything but it can resolve many problems. We can't let the little things get to us and make us unhappy and we need to realize what is considered minor in order not to get so upset.

In my opinion is just want need that makes people happy but not to the extent that they are contented and have inner peace and happiness. I agree with you that to be happy is try to be happy all them time and ignore bad things that people say to you because that will definitely ruin your day.

In fact,I feel that among three things mentioned above ,the family is the most important,it also can make me feeling happy most ! Appreciate my families,I will love them forever! Secondly,I think is money!,money is really important, our food, clothes, houses can not get if we have not money, but I don't think money is all-powerful,because it can not buy all thing, for example natural affection! With my standpoint,a lot of things can make us happy, only if your heart is full of sunlight! have a nice day!
