How would you define a 'friend'?

Hello. can i change the term? From friend to real friend? If it's okay. Because for me, a friend is different from a real friend, because sometimes a 'friend' only considers you as a friend when they need something from you but will forgot you after they got what they from you, but if it's a real friend, whether you give something or not, they will always be there for you.:) Anyway, real friend for me are: those who never makes friend based on physical appearance; who's always there for you thru good/bad times; and still knows how you feel though you don't say anything; and of course, will never leave you. A friend is someone that you can depend on at all times. They are very concerned, considerate, understanding, dependable, they never laugh after you when you fail. They are always there to support you, they are like your shadow. Always have something encouraging and supportive in time of need. A friend is just someone that is there through hard times and easy time.

friend is the one who's always with you and never leave you alone even in worst of situations.........he will always listen to you....and make you feel happy...a true friend is the one with whom you can share everything.........

A friend for me is a person who is always at your side especially during your ups and downs, those who do not judge you for who you are and for what you are. A friend is someone to relie on. I think I never has true friend. True friend mean friend on all life. Friend should be like your brother or sister, but not like the parents. Your true friend should always have time for you. Certainly if you really need it.

Friend ship is not buying with money.AS FRIENDSHIP is co-operative and supportive behaviou between two or more people. it connates a relation ship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, affection. their taste will usually be similar and may converge ,and they share enjoyable activities.

Friend is the one you can trust and you can lean on when you are down. You have the same taste that's why in terms with boy/girl (crushes) you have the same taste. ^_^ But one of you will give ways.

As far as I am concerned, friend is someone who laugh together with you, cry together with you, comfort you when you are sorrow, and you open your mind to each other and treat like sisters and brothers. You share your happiness and sorrow, you come over difficulties together. Friends are the people who make you feel comfortable and warm.

I have many friends but i only less than 10 trusted friend. In general I can say a friend is who can share your memories,having fun with them and someone will help you when u are need companion.

A friend is someone who helps you whenever you need it, shares his time with you whenever you need it, but be careful, friends are sometimes deceptive, not all friends fall in the true definition of friendship. Some just use you, and some is just there because you have the things that can be valuable on his part. Anyway, there is a song, "keep some of your friends, not all, and have new" I just forgot the title, but the song says that if you have present friends, not all of them will still be your friend in the future, maybe because of diverging interests, or something, but along the way, you will meet new friends, which, in turn is another on the list.

i heard a lot of saying about friends but still havent figured what the definition of friend.i had personal bitter experiences.the one i thought the best friend actually cost me my entire life.but i can repair it .and from then on i said to myself you should never be closed to anyone .but i know its impossible .but for now i believe in acquaintance more than friendship.i know i am contradicting your point but i am saying this from my heart .may be your comment may make the change

hai myloters a friend in need is a friend indeed.they are the one with whom we can share our feelings.they are the people who give their hands both in happiness and distress.a friend is one who helps a person both financially and mentally

Well, I think friends can be devided into two different groups. One is called common friends, the other is called close friend. Close friend just like an old saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed. They must be the person who can double your happiness and share your pains. He or she must be very close to you or you must keep in touch very often to keep some kind of relation, the so-called friendship. Actually, a peron have one or two close friends in his life is enough. At least for me. And the common friends, like you say we are social human beings, and we cannot do anything without they. We study together, work together, but we never talk too much about individual affairs. This is my opinion about friend. Have a good day! (*^_^*)

A Friend in need is a friend indeed..A person one likes and trust, who will be there for you always in happiness and sadness.Some one who if they have something to say it to you not behind your back with a dumb loyalty , who does not logic to analyse your bond , someone who will love you even if you screw up over and over again.Its all about the heart who cares about the rest.
