Here in the UK it is simply like any other Sunday! When I was living in the States for a while I spent a wonderful day celebrating Independence day, joining in with the celebrations, even though I am not American, it was great to be part of such a lovely celebration. What are doing to celebrate American Indepence Day today?

We just stood out in our backyard, and watched some of the fireworks that were going on, near by :) They were kind of hard to see from here, because of the other houses and trees blocking our view, but we still got to see some great ones :D Oh, and I crocheted a couple of red, white, and blue stars for my dog, and put them on his collar :P I thought it'd be cute to have him celebrate a little, too. We used to go to a park, where they had fireworks, and ate snacks while we watched, but we didn't do that, this year. Anyway, it was kind of boring here... sorry! I hope you get a better response.

We can also see the fireworks from our house so we just sit outside and watch them after the rodeo is over.

Two years ago I spent the Fourth in deep rural south Caolina with some of my daughter's friends. It was just amazing. At least 60 or 70 family members turned up and everything - lio-terally - everything was home made. Oh I can taste those home made peach tarts and home made ice cream. It was so wonderful. Thanks for the memory.
