I can, but my husband can't. He won't survive in a place without coffee. He drinks atleast three cups of coffee daily. Whenever he goes for ice cream, he chooses coffee flavor, he likes coffee with choclate and icecream...he also takes coffee in a lot of other forms - coffee flavor toffee and choclate bar. His family is also fond of coffee. My body can't stand with so much caffine. I think his body can take it. What about you? Are you fond of coffee? What are the different forms of coffee you have? How long can you survive without coffee?

I drink coffee every morning, at least 3 cups, most of the time it is more. I like folgers, dark roast, columbia or gourmet. I also like coffee drinks from shops like white mocha, ice coffee, carmel and strawberry machiato and many others. I love coffee and would prefer to be able to have it daily.

I love coffee too. Gotta have it. Second choice is tea. I love both hot or cold. I just discovered a really great way of drinking it this week. A few years back i bought a snowcone maker. I have long ago used it with iced tea but just discovered its so good with coffee too. Kind of like a mocha latte. Yummy! Best iced drink!

Decaf is coffee without the caffeen. If its not available in your country you should try to shop for it online. i usually buy coffee beans and grind it myself just before brewing. Its much fresher that way.

Thank you for the info. I will try it. What is defac? I have asked many people about non caffine coffee, but didn't get a good answer? Can you please help me with that? Where can I get caffine free coffee powder?

I can definitely live without coffee. I don't have a caffeine addiction like most people seem to and I don't like the smell of coffee or especially the taste of coffee. If I want a little caffeine boost, I'll just drink a soda or some tea. I don't need much, though and I try not to do it very often.

Well, when I drink soda, it's usually caffeine free soda and the flavor can vary. It kinda depends on my mood and all. However, when I choose one with caffeine, it's usually Coke. I can go with Pepsi or Dr Pepper, too.

It is good not to take too much caffine. I like to have soda too. It is a good booster. I usually go for lemon soda. What is your favorite flavor of soda? I also drink tea sometimes. Tea is not that addictive as coffee. I like to have black coffee on a lazy morning.

Yeah, I need coffee every day. Or if there's no coffee available, some other type of caffeine. But coffee wakes me up better than anything else. I can't drink too much though, because otherwise I have trouble falling asleep at night. I also like coffee ice cream and Dannon coffee yogurt.

I have never tried coffee yogurt. I think it is not available in India. What are the other drinks that contain caffine? Do you know about caffine free coffee? I like coffee with icecream and choclate. Thanks for the response.

I never tasted coffee. My mom could drink coffee all day and night so I know how to make her favorite instant. But I never will drink coffee.I can't handle too much caffeine. I get the jitters if I have too much caffeine.

It is surprising to hear that you have never tasted coffee even though your mom is very fond of coffee. It is good that you atleast know how to make good coffee. It will be helpful in the future. What do you mean by jitters? I don't understand. Yes, you are right, too much caffine is not good. But, I enjoy having coffee once in a while, especially during mornings. Thanks for the response.

I really like Folgers or Maxwell House. Lately the price has been up higher on those though, so i went for the store house brand. I like my coffee, hot, and with just a little sugar in it. On the hot days, i don't drink quite as much coffee though.

Thanks for the response. You are exactly like my husband. I like coffee and tea, but I don't drink too much of anything. Do you have a special type of coffee or you will have any type of coffee you come across? Do you prefer cold coffeee or hot coffee? Usually people who dinks lots of coffee takes more of hot coffee.

I never used to drink tea or coffee...but lately, I've been drinking a cup of coffee (very strong coffee) every morning to get me going. I haven't been getting enough sleep and need the coffee to get me started. I don't drink too much...just that one cup every morning. I don't need it any time later...and never drink another cup during the day. It's not that I can't survive without coffee...I can....it's just that I need it to wake me up in the morning.

It is nice to hear that you are not addicted to coffee. That is good. I also like to drink half a cup of black coffee during morning to keep me going. I will enjoy it when I am lazy in the morning. But, it is not a must for me to start my day. I would prefer it mostly on weekends because other days I must have to get up to go to office. My mom used to say that drinking too much balck coffee will make me to change my color to black. So, I was scared to drink black coffee when I was a kid. Later I found that my mom was joiking and she didn't want me to have too much coffee. Thanks for the response.

I don't like coffee at all. Neither does my husband. I guess I am lucky that. But my husband won't drink anything but soda which is very bad...no water, juice, or milk at all.

Is soda very bad? I drink soda sometimes especially when I am tired after a long travel. You are lucky that you don't have to worry making juice or coffee or tea for your husband and worry about how will it come out. I want to prepare good coffee for my husband, but I am not good at preparing it. Thanks for your response.

Coffee is part of my everyday regime. My day will never be complete without coffee. I drink coffee in the morning , during breaktime at work and at night after a meal. It always like that. My coffee is not pure, it has a cream. Not too sweet but perfectly blend. I can say I can't survive a day without a coffee.

It is nice to find another coffee lover like my husband. Usually in India, we don't have coffee or tea after lunch, i.e. after having rice. Mostly Indians have coffee in the morning as bed coffee or along with breakfast, and then during evenign time along with snacks. I like to have coffee in the morning. Thanks for the response.

Not a coffee lover, but seems your hubby has a high tolerance for it, the same way I can tolerate hot peppers. Like your husband, I see out anything thta is sicy as he does anything that has coffee. It is just a tolerance that builds u over a time so that what is consider excess to others is quite normal to us and the body does not reacts any different.

I think it is fine if the body does not react differently. He is very fond of coffe and he feels that he has lost a day in his life he won't get chance to have coffee that day. I feel the same with rice. I can't miss rice for a day. He was staying in India for a year as a part of his research. He had a very bad time during that time even though he got good coffee in India, but he wanted his special irish coffee.

Here it is different. My mother doesn't head aches but becomes restless and won't allow anything to her head unless she gets her cup of coffee. She will be seen much worried if she can't get the dose for that time. And this happens only when we travel a long distance and when we can't find a place to stop for coffee at the regular timing.Cheers!

It is nice to hear that you are not addicted to coffee. My mother is also addicted to coffee. She used to have black coffee in the evenings. Now, if she is travelling or she misses coffee at that time for any reason, she will get a headache. That headache will disappear once she has coffee. Thanks for the response.

I never take coffee although my family members are coffee addicted to coffee. As a typical South Indian from TamilNadu, our family always prefer coffee and I am the lone exception in my family. They wonder how i always abstain from taking coffee but I always prefer Milk or other chocolate drinks to coffee. From Birth, I have an aversion to coffee and I never take them.

You sound different. I am also from a typical south Indian family. It is a custom in my family to have coffee in the morning (bed coffee), along with breakfast (coffee and milk), and in the evening (coffe and milk at 4'o clock) with some snacks. My mom will get a headache if she skips this routine. You have escaped from coffee rountine. Thanks for the response.

Oh...that person drinks a lot of coffee. In my place, ie. south India, we don't drink coffee along with lunch. We have it only with breakfast and dinner. If you want to get a coffee during lunch time, you won't find it in normal resutrants other than coffee shops. It is odd to have coffee with rice.

hehe, sorry, maybe i didnt state it clearly. he didnt drink coffee with rice.just after lunch, that is to say, when he came back to work again after the break.he would drink a cup of coffee to start the afternoon work.

I like to drink coffee latte. However,I will not drink it too much.Coffee is just for a drink.I will change my drinks every so often to stay healthy.Sometimes I'd drink mineral water or orange juice.
@daliaj (5674)

It is a good idea to keep changing the drinks. By doing this you wont' be affected by the intgrediants of a particular drink. I do the same thing, but only shuffling between coffee and tea and water ofcourse. I don't want to drink too much of coffee and get affected by caffine even though I like it very much. Thanks for the response.

Lol. That is interesting. I like to drink tea too. I have heard about green tea, but I have never tasted it. I heard that having 'green tea' regulary will reduce the wieght. Is it true? I take tea in different flavors like cardomom, ginger, and masala tea. I like ice tea too, lemon is my favorite flavor for ice tea. I like hot lemon tea too.

I can do great without coffee though i like coffee.I only drink coffee when its going to be a long night studying, or whenever i have to stay awake. But its tea that i have mostly...

Tea is good because it is less addictive compared to coffee. Coffee is very good to keep you awake when you want to study in night. When I was doing a night shift job with an online tutoring company, I used to take a lot of coffee. When I shifted to day shift job after that, I used to feel sleepy during day time. It took me sometime to adjust to the day shift job and coffee helped me a lot be awake during day and concentrat on my job.

I can absolutly live without Cofee, since I never really liked it. I can't really stand the smell nor the taste of Coffe. But I get that some people can get quite adiccted to it! My Mother and one of my Brother LOVE Coffe..not as much as your Husband, but nearly as much. The first thing they do when they wake up is making a fresh cup of Coffee. Cheers!

I like the smell of coffee too. My husband likes it a lot. I usually have back coffee in the morning to wake me up. Usuallly I have tea during work hours. If I am too tired of work and I want to get refreshed badly, then I go for coffee. Coffee is a good refresher compared to tea. Thanks for the response.

It is interesting that you still remember the day in which you had coffee for the first and only time. Coffee and tea are energy boosting drinks, but too much use of any of these, especially coffee is not good for health. Thanks for the response. Have a great day.

It is good to hear that even though you like tea and coffee and want to have it often, but you can adjust your life without that. Many people can't do that. Caffine has an addictive power and it is not good for health. It is safe for your health to take more tea and coffee. Thanks for the response.
