I think every one should encourage the usage of freewares.i think the following freewares are of very good quality and can be used as a substitute for your paid software. * Anti virus - Avira * Browser - Firefox (needless 2 say) * Music player - i Tunes * CD-DVD Burner - Burn aware * Hot keys - Qliner. Please use these software and give the feed backs. you may also suggest some freeware or open source software that is of good quality.

my cousin gave VLC player for music.. I think its the best since it opens some files that windows media player won't open. Sometimes I also use Quicktime. CD-DVD burner - I still use nero since it comes with the reader-writer I bought with me. So far with the antivirus I have no problem with Avast home edition. For the browser I use also use Firefox, even though my connection is a bit slow Firefox seems to make it more bearable. I also like Winrar- its a must have.

Ccleaner - Remove cookies, repairs minor registry problems, uninstalls software that won't uninstall itself easily. Daemon tools: Mount/create ISO files. Winrar: uncompress zip/rar files.
