What is your favorite July 4th memory? Is there one that stands out in your mind or do they all run together? Where were you and what were you doing?

Most of my 4th of July's run together, like you mentioned. In fact, pretty much everything runs together after a while. But I did enjoy my LAST 4th of July (of 2008), because I got to see friends that it feels like I NEVER see anymore.

My favorite was back in high school. My dad was out of the country, so my mom and I hopped in the car and went to the fairgrounds, where they were setting off fireworks. We opened the sunroof and ate popcorn while we watched the show. We'd comment on them--because that makes them better--and evaluate the show. That year always sticks in my head!

for many years I traveled often to Italy for business. . and for some reason I used to be there for the 4th of July. I was one of many Americans that were there at the time . .and as the Italians always make you feel at home .. the 4th of July on Lake Como really proved that . .for never had I and probably never will see such a beautiful showing of fireworks . .even Epcot with their highly touted showing of "Illuminations" never came close to the wonderful evening I would spend on the Lake. . Hopefully soon I will be back there .. .maybe even one day to once again see the fireworks over that beautiful Lake!
