Now I have to say health is so important. We need to go for a proper medical check up at least once in a year. I have done mine a week ago, and the report is still not out yet. How about you? Have you done any medical check up in year 2009? If no, consider this discussion as a reminder to you. If yes, you may want to share your experience here. thanks

Hi vingyan06, yes i did! been to the hospital for a medical check-up last February and I'll be back again by August for next med check-up. The doctor checked my blood chem, had physical and even pap smear. Everything is alright and the doctor told me to continue being in good shape and in good health. Balance and nutritious food intake is very good specially if exercise is being done regularly. You're right that health is so important so we should make a way to take care of ourselves. Cheers! Happy mylotting!

We have annual free and compulsary health check within a certain budget. But few are seriously taking post measures about the results. Firstly we are taking a greater proportion of the medical expenses, and secondly unless notified having got a fatal disease, we do not anticipate much improvement from medication. At this age, high pressure, overweight, and digestion problems are common, most people believe that diet and exercises might be a more effective approach than the medicine. Having said that, the health check does help identify serious diseases, we must take it regularly to avoid regrets if any.

I go for a checkup about once every two years. I think it's important to get checked out for any problems and find out about my "vital stats" - blood pressure, blood sugar level, liver and kidney function, etc. Especially with high blood pressure and diabetes being so common, it's important to get an "early warning" of these problems and take action before they get too serious.

I think one should always go for a medical check once in an year, especially after the age of 40. Now a days diabetes and hypertension are epidemic through out the world, and why only these two diseases, the emergence of fast food had made way to many other diseases, it elevates our liver enzymes and disorganise the normal system of our body. The diseases like irritable bowel syndrome, non ulcer dyspepsia and inflammatory bowel syndrome are increasing in incidence throughout the world. So for a happy healthy and wealthy lify, I think every one should go for regular health check up. Fortunately I am a doctor and we have regular camps for our hospital employee,s health check up.
