Number in Brackets..

I am pretty sure it is called experience points, but I wanted to know what the number inside brackets beside each username is called. My primary question, however, is how many bracket numbers did you need in order to get paid? Was it like 100 to reach one dollar or does it vary. Just out of curiosity, how many experience points did you have before you got your first payment, so I can have a rough goal. Thank you and happy mylotting!

The number you have in the brackets is the posts that you have done up to this point. When you reach 100 posts, then you get a star with a number in it. That is the ranking that you would get from other users rating your posts whether it be responses, comments or discussions you have started. In order to earn here, you need to post quality as that is what mylot is looking for. It is easy to earn here if you are active and participate in discussions. I hope this has helped. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Thank you so much! This did help a lot! I thought that the number in the brackets was like experience points or something but thank you for the clarification! I now understand that it is just like the number of posts completed and the star information was also important. Thank you once again and happy myLotting to you too.

That number is not a total of all your posts. It increases once - when you start a discussion and it receives at least one response - when you respond for the first time on a discussion started by others - when you comment for the first time on a discussion started by others. It does not incrase when yuo coment on responses received on discussions which you start or when you comment more on other discussions BUT you earn for all your own activity even when the number does not increase. Yea, I should have clarified that, and you just did. I know that when we comment to responses in our discussions our number doesn't increse but our earnings do. I make sure I do comment to all my responses as well, as it is our duty and right to do so and also a privilege, of which I do enjoy responding and commenting. Thank you for clearing that up for me as I just didn't explain as good as you just did,
