Do you get anxious when your loved ones fly?

I've been flying since I was an infant, but for some reason I get really anxious whenever my husband flies on business. The night before, I have butterflies in my stomach. I worry and worry. Then, when I know he's landed wherever it is he's going, I'm fine. The return trip doesn't bother me at all. Do you get anxious when your loved ones fly? If so, what are some things you do to keep yourself from worrying?

Sometimes. My husband usually rides his motorcycle instead of flying. Then I get real anxious. But when he flies I am not quite so bad. I relax a lot more when he flies then I am when he rides. But he is really good at calling me when he gets to where he is going, so it is all good with us.

Oooh, the motorcycle would make me nervous. It's not that I don't trust my husband's ability, it's that I don't trust all the crazy drivers out there. I know he really wants one but I just have to put my foot down on that one.

I get nervous whenever anyone in my family is going on a trip by plane or car for that matter. I also get nervous when I'm flying. Its just not knowing what could happen. It can be quite scary. I'm usually ok once I'm on the plane and we are in the air. Turbenlence scares me though. In a plane there is really no where to go if you crash a car you have a better chance. I usually clean to keep my mind off of the trip that my loved ones may be making. I then can't wait for the phone to ring telling me they arrived at their desination.

I have that same thought when I'm flying through the air: there's nowhere to go! But I try not to think about it. I figure, if something bad does happen, I'd rather enjoy myself as long as I can than freak out (well, too much anyway!)
