This summer holiday i am working in a hotel as a waitress.I realized that making money was not as easily as i thought before. And there no jobs would be easy, even if the waiter or waitress. At the same time,i know more about the society.

I would think that being a waiter or waitress would be harder than your average, run-of-the-mill part-time job. I know it would certainly be harder than MY job as a cashier at a dry cleaner. I couldn't imagine having to remember who ordered what, and in what order, and at what table. I would probably get it all confused and make sooo many people mad. lol. Kudos to you for tackling such a tough job. I agree with you, making money isn't as easy at it seems - but after a while you get so used to having that part-time job, that without it you seem listless and empty. When I took vacation a couple weeks back, and didn't work for FOUR days, I was seriously going nuts! I actually missed spending five hours a day at my job. lol. So it's something that grows onto you after a while.

There is nothing wrong taking a part-time job for as long as it is decent and for as long as you enjoy doing it. In my case, I am presently working as a part-time college instructor. I am so blessed to be given this offer to teach just in time when my husband left for Japan for a scholarship grant. My being busy preparing the lessons is a good and healthy way of coping my temporary separation with my husband.

I think a part time job is valuable for a student. It can teach him or her about life and society. He or she can get used to working as part of a team. The wages teach the young person to value money. I did a paper round when I was 13 and had a Saturday job in a shop when I was 16. It must be challenging to work as a waiter or a waitress. I think I might have spilled food on a customer by mistake. I hope you enjoy your part time job.
