I'm a contact lense wearer for more than a decade now. I've come across advertisement on Laser Eye Corrective Surgery and it's getting more rampant these days. Many people are opting for surgery instead of continuously wearing contacts. I am afraid of anyting surgical. Has any of you had Laser Eye corrective surgery? What are the side effects and consequences? Is it better to have the surgery or will it be safer to just wear contacts in the long run? Please help.

Ok, thanx busky. Because a friend of mine told me that he even felt like there is a flap in his eyes and that scares the heck out of ME! But if you say it's ok, then i'll take it as a good thing and try to reconsider having it done.

Cindy, if you are trying to get pregnant, please do not do this surgery. The change of hormone will effect the outcome. So I was told. That is why, maybe I'll wait until I've finished producing babies and then, do I'll reconsider to get this done!

Is important to know the side effects and consequences before you go for it. I wear my spectacles everyday buy I don't use contact lens, LOL My elder sister went for laser eye surgery last year. and I don't think she get any side effects after that. What I can see on her is no more tagging with contact lens or spectacles.

The best thing would be waking up in the morning with clear vision eh? But people do tell me that once I get it done, I'm not suppose to get pregnant withing the next 6 months, and I must ask my husband if he wants to get me pregnant within this time frame or not! haha..
