I was just wondering what you think.... I have become absorbed in the news lately because of the instability of the world and it really has become a very scary place.. or really I guess it has been all along, but I have just started paying attention to it.... Regardless the unrest in Iran and the rioting in China are today's biggest news stories..... but I cannot stop thinking about the dangers that Iran and North Korea are nuclear...... I am not sure which is worse.... what do you think?

I think is the nuclear of North Korea because a few time ago they have build 9 rockets and appears many times in the news but in Iran they are more rich than the north koreans thanks to the petrol, so Iran can build more threats to our world

I am not quite scared of North Korea even though it is going to make a nuke. I have confidence that it would not be so stupid to build a nuke and fire it off under the eyes of China. There is simply no way China will tolerate a nation so closes to it to try firing a nuke at somebody. I believe that whatever North Korea is doing is more on attracting the attentions from the world rather than actually prepared for a nuclear war. Iran is a different story and I am not quite familiar with the situation.

N Korea knows its actions are threatening... it excites them to know they are making people fearful... I believe China holds the power riht now as well.... I believe that they hold the power to keep N Korea under control... now let us hope that they use their power and influence..... America is here if that fails....

America may be an answer but I don't think it can solve all problems around the world. In fact, there are so many conflicts in the world where America has tried to fix but without much success.

I think every Nuclear country is a threat to the peace and well being of others and even itself on this earth . A complete disarmament is a must for us .

I also worried about the nuclear threat of North Korea because we also going to be affected of it. Even if we are not directly affected of it because we are far from North Korea we still in Asia. South Korea is really affected of it and they soldier is not enough to protect them. That's why the government obligate the men there to serve in the military. US is watching it so I'm now at peace and secured.

I Think any country with their hands on Nuclear weapons is a threat, if they have them it means that one day they will use them. Its only a matter of time before there is a nuclear war i would suggest. But bewteen Iran and N Korea, I would think that Kim Jong-il holds the card for the most quickest to act.

I see what you are saying but I believe that America is not unstable and the reason that we hold weapons are to protect ourselves and others in the event that places like N Korea decide to threaten the world with their presence..... America is always here and will always be watching... I am glad that there are those that can take comfort knowing we will always be the "big brother" who watches over all his "little brothers" to keep the peace... without our own protection to use for us and others, then there would be nothign to sop places like N Korea from totally devastating many nations worldwide...... we pray for peace yet fight for our lives and yours....

They are both a huge problem. Both are fully capable of distroying everything. However, I am a born filled Christain and I am not afraid of what could happen and what will happen. What is occuring in the world is just what God wanted and what Christ had stated in the bible. The main wars that are going on today is all religious wars. We will fight and then out of the blue we will become one world with one world religion. An then in my faith I believe the End will happen. So if you have faith then don't worry, its going to happen whether we want it to or not. If you don't have faith then worry or do what you think is right. I am just stating what I feel and why I am not as concerned as most people are.

amanda08, I must say that both threats are equally big and ill afford to be overlooked. Just a launch at either parties will have heavy and dire consequences WORLDWIDE. However, I do feel that there is literally much hype from the developed countries especially from their neighboring countries where they fear of an impending war happening. Forgetting that things can be settled with diplomacy and fair negotiations. I am sure no one would like to go into a war when the devastation and price is just too high. I hope that the parties involved will be able to reach a truce and avoid any armed conflict at the end of the day.

Yes,the world has become a dangerous place since today the nuclear powers who possess weapons which can destroy the world a hundred times, if not even more, find that certain countries who have recently become nuclear are under the threat of terroists. Terrorism is the most dangerous development of the century and since they can strike anywhere in the world ,countries with nuclear weapons feel vulnerable and are afraid that their weapons could fall into their hands. You have mentioned Iran and N. Korea, but what about Pakistan which is fighting to ward off the most dangerous Al Qaeda and Taliban forces who have openly threatened to acquire the nuclear weaponry in possession of Pakistan. If, God forbid such a thing would happen, the entire world is in peril.

Hello Amanda, I will say any country who has a dodgy administration and have a nuclear weapon is dangerous. So that way, both Iran and Korea are dangerous. Everyone understands how destructive a nuclear bomb is, but many countries still like to build up their artillery with such dangerous weapons is a very sad and frightening fact.

I don't there is a bigger treat on the two Nations. As far as I know bigger treat is North Korea, because it is an isolated country and there president is suffering from illness that as of this days he could be die... We are worried about is that the President of North Korea, is suffering from disease that does not remember anything...

I very much appreciate your comment and understanding of the United States true intentions... there are so many people that view the US as a hostile nation.... and we are far from that... we enjoy a great country and we only wish to let everyone else be able to have some of the same advantages that we enjoy..... it is not nice to see nor to let anyone suffer... we are not a perfect country but we try to spread freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... Thank you so much for your comment!!!

We hope so that they may going to look for better talks and create stability in the regions. But did you imagine if no United State that pursue stability and mediating any nations that wanting such danger behavior? Perhaps, war is happening in every corner of the world. If every country support how the United State, doing I think there is stability. But the problem is that they are misleading the aims of the United State, President. If you look far, my friend. Only the United State, pursuing such ideals. I never see or heard that Russia and China, will have the idea of talking for every country that suffer from violence. I think there is no United Nations composition if there is United State support. All country wanted to be powerful as the United State, but there aims is destruction not for purposes of depending themselves from any threat... The United State President, statement is true. That the real enemy is poverty and to fight for that enemy is education must be exploring all over the world. That is why there is a support the United State, educational fund for every poor countries of the world... We don't blame the US economy if going down. This is also due to their program that they are helping more poor countries of the world. How many billions of dollar they provide for their foreign policy...?

Yup. Better start diggin for fall out shelters. Iranians can still be reasoned out. But North Korea? Bigger threat. Kim there thinks he's god, so i doubt any reasonable negotiation can be done. Moreover, remember he's holding a CNN correspondent "hostage." God knows... I wish "Superman V" movie is real. That way, ol' Christopher Reeves will just collect every nuke and crammy and shove it up to the sun.

Hi, amanda. Your concern is right. The world is facing a great danger of a nuclear war and if this happens, there will be nothing left this time. There are a few countries who seem to be crossing their lines. Iran gathered heaps of nuclear power but does not seem to be willing to use it in nonesense. But, N. Korea is certainly looking to increase its reputation in the world power war that poses a big danger. By the way, you can only anticipate but can not tell what are their policies.
