Knock offs?

Are you more likely to buy a designer item or a knock off version of it? Obviously the knock off is cheaper, but it may be of lower quality, and some people care a lot about name brands. So what would you choose?

I'm not sure.. I definitely like name brands but I do own knock offs and I don't mind them at all and wear them just as often. I think that if given the choice and that I had the money i was willing to spend.. i'd probably go for the name brand.. just because it's guaranteed quality and well.. it's a named brand. but honestly sometimes i love going knock off clothes shopping.. or shopping for fashionable clothes that are by designers but not name brands. Some of their stuff is amazing yet they don't get a lot of credit for it... you have to really try and find stores that sell designer clothing though!

Yeah cheaper is always better, but there is the risk of losing quality. I think there is a nice in-between point though- there are knock-offs that are still decent quality but still much cheaper just because they are not brand name.

it doesn't really matter to me.if I find a designer dress that I like but can't afford, the knock off will do.actually I would rather ask a seamstress to create the dress for me.I'll show her the design and she can sew it for me.it saves more money.for shoe and lingerie collection,I would buy the designer items.

Hmm I haven't really done it that way but that would probably be great- then you can get exactly what you want.

I do not like knock offs, I would rather buy a no brand item than a knock off, since a lot of knock offs just seem kind of tacky to me, especially the monogrammed kind. But I do buy some designer brands from time to time though. Not too often, because I don't have the clothing budget for that, but I try to get them vintage or even new every once in a while, because I think designer pieces can be such great additions to your wardrobe!
