Have anybody been Layed Offed from work?

Hi All,
i find it amusing that people (90% of them human resources) telling their sorry tales. HR teams are for recruitment process only. technocrats and managers are for the real revenue generators for the company. Naturally during cost cutting the least necessary work force is lay offed. this is normal practice and i don't know why HR people make such huge cry out of it.

My cousin is fired out, awhile he was going to work for this company in abroad.While he checked in to the airport, the company's owner called to him and told him " You didn't go now, i was fire you out" He was very shock, then he didn't checked in flight.He came back to that company and went out since that day.
