Do You Read All Responses To A Discussion Before Posting Your Own?

Hello, I'm interested in knowing : do you make it a point to read all the responses to a particular discussion before posting your own opinion? Often it has so happened with me that I have posted a response to a discussion and after that I have found that some other mylotters have responded using the same kind of language. At those times I have felt like a plagiarist! I have also felt what would others think of me? Would they think that too? Therefore, now-a-days, I'm trying to read all the responses before posting my response. What about you? Have you faced a similar situation where you have posted your response only to find someone has responded in a similar way?

If there are less than 10 responses, I read them first. more than 10, I make my response anyway, as I know even if someone says something similar, my own writing style is unique. Don't worry too much about it - just make sure you make quality responses to build your Mylot reputation.

no not always. sometimes it does not matter what others respond with. Sometimes I go and read those later. it just depends.

It really all depends on how many responses the discussions have. If they have over 10, I won't read them all, but if less than 10, then I will read them all. Most of the time though, if I haven't read all of them, my ideas aren't always the same. I really don't worry if they are, as the words are now the same. I do believe we all have our own wording, so we don't copy someone else. I just post when there are quite a few, and just hope that the response isn't the same as someone elses. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Oh, for me, I do not read all responses to a discussion before posting my own, because I think that will waste me some time, and what's more, reading others responses may limit my thoughts, I like to just read a discussion then response to it directly. Never mind what others think about you.

I just read the discussion and think of my answer and I compose what I have to say and write it. Sometimes you find that some people have the same response but, I guess great minds think alike.

Actually, I am not into reading all the responses before I post my own response, but come to think of it I will do read all of the response next time so that I will never look like a plagiarist too... Thanks for sharing this discussion for it is so helpful for someone like of who is only a month old here...
