I like books a lot, even is internet era now, but i really like to read a good book, nothing compare with sit in my bedroom, relax with a good book in my hands. My grandfathers teach me to love books, and love how books smell, i use my imagination when i read, and this make me feel very good. I have a lot of books in my house, , novels, poetry, science, history, even books for cooking and for kids. I have a special place for my books, and never change this place. In this way i am sure that all time i ll keep a part of culture in my house.

Wow. I don't even know where to start. I have all sorts of fiction books of course. I collect about a dozen different authors (King, Koontz, Auel, Jordan, Kellerman just to name a few. But besides that.. I've got an entire section for cookbooks - although I very rarely follow a recipe.. mostly I just read through them to get ideas. I've also got a kind of theology section going on now. I've got a few different versions of the bible, a copy of the Koran and a selection of books that explain both. I've got history books and archeology books that work together with the bibles. I've got books on Wicca and different pagan sects. That's just to name the few that I can think of off the top of my head.

It is true that nothing compares to the relaxation that a book can give even though more people are entertained by the internet, but books are still different in terms on how your imagination become active so I really love my books. Anyway, I like short story better than long novels but I read novels though.

I love old hardback books, and I have recently began collecting them. I usually buy only books that I would consider reading, such as how-to books, classic literature, and adventure stories. Recently, my mom started sorting through their book collection and I ended up bringing home a lot of my old children's books. I loved them so much as a kid that I want to save them until I have children!

My mom collects books of all kind. She has really valuable ones from the Middle Ages worth serious money. But also plain old books from writers like Ian McEwan, or autographed ones from dutch writers (we live in Belgium). We literally have a library in our house. It's funny how every time we have to write a book for school everyone has to go searching for it in stores where they sell used books or in the library while I just have to pick it from the shelf at home.

Well if you'd go someday visit Leuven and Gent. Both one of the first cities raised in Belgium even before the Middle Ages. There are beautiful old buildings, and Gent still has the original buildings where the ships would pay their toll to go sailing on the trading routes somewhere around 1200. But they also have very beautiful modern buildings with pop art and the newer kinds of cultures, supported by their very alive citizens, which are mostly students. You can go on a nice tourist boat trip, or buy for the most recent modern art, view the world famous city halls or go shopping for a new Louis Vuitton handbag. You can do it all over there. You tell me which American city has this kind of a beautiful town hall http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/de/Leuven,_stadhuis_foto4_2007-08-27_12.38.JPG I believe none. Haha! Yeah, I just love Belgium!

I have read a lot of books in my life, but I do not keep them all. Sometimes you read one and it was not that great, so why keep it? I will usually sell it to a used bookstore, but I don't get much for it. I think I will start to donate books instead. For the ones I do keep....I have some of my favorite books by Dean Koontz and Richard Matheson. I also have some historical fiction books and some cookbooks. I also have all the Harry Potter books on their own shelf.

On my book case I have three shelves. I have novels and non fiction books. I tend to keep all the novels that I really enjoyed reading. I have lots of books about travel, crystals, clutter clearing and dogs. I had to have a clear out of books a few months ago and I found that really challenging.
