When any of you ever see someone driving with that obama sticker that is like blue and red with his head pointed up in the air and it says "yes we can"?
That kinda freaks me out, looks just like something you'd see from Cuba or old Russsia or something, maybe I'm just nutz. Wish I could post a picture of it.

I looked it up on the net but since it's on a commercial site selling them, I didn't know if I could post the link.
I think it's the whole black and white thing, makes it look like something out of a book about the Bolshevik revolution or maybe Stalin's gulags. Definitely has a prison, Big Brother feel to it.

there are still tons of bush cheney stickers on cars here, side by side with rebel flags and/or swastikas. Those scare me more than any Obama sticker ever could.

Berks county, stronghold of the skin heads and KKK... You don't find those organizations less than cozy to hang around? I do. I didn't mention the stupid jesus fish next to all the hate stickers...
No, Barack Obama does not scare me in the least little bit, not even on a sticker.

Jodi, I've never seen the signs you speak of in Pa, not saying you never saw them but you can't hardly go on any road anywhere and not see those communist type stickers plus those who raised him and what the guy believes makes it even crazier.

I have seen those and kind of noticed that too, but I thought it looked more like something from Cuba than Russia. But with this health care thing, maybe communism isn't too far off. I sure hope we don't get that nationalized health care... and I say that as an uninsured American! I'd rather take my chances and pay for something as it comes up than shell out my tax dollars just to have health care there on the off chance that I need it. I figure the government program would be even worse than health insurance.

The stickers do not scare me just the drivers. I wonder when the public opinion will turn on Pres. Obama. When people talk, it seems that nobody supports Obama's policies anymore but his personal support is very high. I think the real change will come around the time of the 2010 elections.

I read that his support was around 52% and I've even seen some liberal newcasters like Rachael Maddow call him to task on his policies...such as 'prolonged detention'.

There was one on a magazine cover, think it was TIME, that made me think of the illustration of Big Brother in '1984'. I thought, how appropriate.

I guess what I wonder about is why we give so much flack to ANY public/media figure for some one elses portrayal of them, via graphic arts, photo shop or whatever. I figure hucksters sell many things (pins, buttons, stickers etc...) that are not endorsed or even known about by the figure being portrayed.
I looked up the image of "Big Brother", not the show, but the Orwell theater bill image... I perceived an angry middle aged white guy in the picture...perhaps it's like gazing at clouds, everyone see's what they want to see.

Honestly, the idol worship regarding Obama is just plain disgusting. I'm sure this isn't the first time a president has been idolized in such a fashion, but really - the man isn't "one of the greats". He didn't pave the way for anything. It's not because of him that minorities can now tell their kids "you can even be president when you grow up", because from a legal standpoint, that's been possible for a while.
He's a fallible human, and a politician to boot - his ideas aren't all that great, and some of them even scare the crap out of me. I mean...mandatory community service? Ugh, that in itself has "bad idea" written all over it.
I'm tired of seeing the bumper stickers, and the magazines and books with his face plastered all over them. He's not that big of a deal.

You're not nuts, I have seen this sticker a lot when I'm passing them on the highway, it seems that anyone with this sticker drives as slow as molasses too. It is an eerie sticker, and makes me feel uneasy - I would like to get a better look at it so that I can study it. Thanks for your time.
