I think it depends on the camera..i first bought this crap HP digital camera,,,and it printed out aweful and the pic qunity was horrible,,and at that time my 35mm was awesome!!Then I bought a Panasonic digital..WHOO HOO!!! I love it!! even the pics I mess up on a program came with it to fix everything,,right down to wrinkles and blemishes.,and the picture qulaity is fabulous!!!and the print out is just as beautiful..

There ar a couple of reason for the picture not printing out right. Your printer may not be set for the paper you are printing on. The other is that Digital pictures portionally different from 35mm The best thing to do is to go into a photo editing program and crop the photo to the size you want. This way you select the content of the picture you want. When you print the printer or photo lab will crop the photo to fit the standard print sizes.

Digital cameras are getting better and better and the photo quality is improving. When you compair 35 mm to digital make sure you are using a similar camera. If you use a low end digital point and shoot make sure you compair it to a low end 35mm point and shoot. I use a Digital Canon Rebel 350 and have excellent photos very compairable to my Minolta 35 mm SLR. I will go digital over film. I love shooting digital.
