Recently I found that my grandson is a bit bending at the neck, which is very much to my concern. What might be the cause? and what advice do my friends have to help? Your suggestion is highly appreciated.

My nephew was born in that condition with a slight bend to one side. My sister brought him to see doctors and the doctors told her that he will outgrow this condition. We were prepared for the worse and thought he would be an abnormal boy when he did not start to walk when he reached one and half years old. Can't even crawl like most kids of his age. But his condition slowly improves when he reaches 2 years old. But he still have the slight bend whenever he talks. We reminded him and helped him straighten his head using our hands whenever he starts to bend. Now he is no longer bending his head and have grown to be a sturdy boy at five years of age. Don't worry about your grandson, he will outgrow this defect.

Thanks for your encouragement. He has been alright all the way until recently. Maybe it is caused by too low desk, too heavy bag, or whatever. There is said a kind lof make up belt to straight the back if things do not go right.

If you really are concerned, I think it's better for you to bring him to the doctor so that if there are any real problems then it can be corrected at once, if there is nothing to worry about, then it's just better safe than sorry. It's hard to give advise when it comes to something 'medical' cause a wrong advise maybe given and thus worsen the condition so the best advise I think to give at this point is to go to the doctor for a check up, maybe an x-ray or ct-scan so that the correct problem will be discovered and thus be given the correct medication and solution.

zhuhuifen46, I am not sure if you are referring to hunchback here. If it is then as adults, we need to ensure that he is adopting proper posture at all times. This problem is predominant with lazy habits and passive attitudes. It is also a good advocate to prescribe sports participation like running or swimming to build their physique and stamina. However, we must never undermine the importance of sound advice from medical specialists with his condition. So the sooner a specialist is looking into him, then I feel everything could be rectified in good time. Take care and have a nice day.

Most possibly, it is caused by improper posture in reading and writing. A specialist will be consulted soonest possible, and constant reminding will be important. Thanks for response.
